I got a good buy on a lightly used CW9 a few years ago. It didn't appear to have been shot much. I sent the slide off for some milling work and was very disappointed with the outcome.

Recently, wanting to make use of this pistol, I ordered a new slide for it. After reading several reports of PM9 slides on CM9 frames and P9 slides on CW9 frames, I figured I would give that a go. P9 slide w/ all CW9 internals, barrel and frame. After shooting 54 flawless rounds. I noticed peening on both sides of the barrel, located on the raised ring/lug just forward of the chamber. I have since fired about 210 rounds, and had (3) failure to feed's. The round was partially in the chamber, a slight push on the rear of the slide chambered the round. The most recent 54 rounds fired flawlessly.

The flat spots may have grown a slight bit since I first noticed but not much. See any issue here??

Thanks

My CW9 has the wear/peening there (pretty sure all my poly Kahrs have it to some degree). I check it occasionally (progression seems to have halted), but it's not something I worry about. The gun operates just fine.
