Looking to for a quick release holster for my PM9. Want to install it near a center console in my Jeep on the Molle panel . Blade-tech, Safariland, Alien Gear make quick release holsters but not for Kahr PM9. Here's my dilemma: will PM9 fit other holsters like Glock 43, M&P Shield, Walther PPS, Sig P365 etc? Don't want to buy something and later regret it. Any thoughts?

So will this firearm be visible inside your car?

Are you looking for a retention holster like an ALS that you can mount to this bracket?

May not be the exact answer you are looking for and knowing others on this forum know far more than me about guns/holsters ect, but i have found that the sig p 365 and pm9 are pretty compatible as far as the holsters i have. " of course did but a new one anyway for my sig." also on occasion when going for long drives i will put my remora holster between the drivers seat and console of my jeep. Fits snug/nicely. Easy to draw from if needed and easy to take out and take with me when getting out of my jeep.

Yes, we need more info in order to help.

Are you looking for retention?

Do you plan to leave your gun in the car all the time?

I have found an ankle holster to be pretty fast of a draw while seated. On long drives (trips) I generally wear an ankle holster for my backup.

What Grotman said about the P365 and CM9 being very close is true. I have both. In a leather holster it would be very close. Something in nylon with a thumb snap would probably work real well and not be too expensive to try. The nylon thumb break type worked real good in my truck at one time in the past for a 1911. If I remember right it was a $10 uncle Mikes holster with some Velcro.

Would like to install the fast release base on the Molle panel and keep the pistol holstered there while driving, then transfer the firearm back to my belt when getting out. So, I would need 2 quick release

bases to make this happen that way the firearm will never be unattended. Here's the link to the Blade-tech video featuring TMMS kit - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-exh6NviS0 and Safariland QLS kit

The only caveat - Kahr PM9 is not on the list for these type of holsters.

DARA makes an OWB kydex holster that uses three screws to mount carry attachments to it. The screws are in a pattern that looks similar to the Blade Tech TMMS. Perhaps the two are compatible (I'm not sure about the spacing of the top two screws).

To make it more concealable decided on different approach, ordered multi-purpose carry bag from Opovoo. https://www.opovoo.com/collections/waist-bag-pouches/products/edc-waist-bag
Should do the job, I think.

Finally I was able to finish my project. Secured the multi-purpose bag to the Molle panel, inserted DeSantis Nemesis and my PM9. Fits perfectly, easy to draw and totally concealable.

If it's working for you and you're happy, then great.

I personally don't want a bag of any kind showing....but I'm a libertarian, glad you are happy.

I like the set up, but in my neighborhood a thief walking by would see that bag and want what was inside, empty or full, which would cause me a headache. I do like the idea especially if the bag comes on and off easily. My firearms always tucked nicely between the seat and console with a Desantis or Remora.

Recently picked up and outfitted a 5.11 Rush MOAB 10 for toting stuff around. It has a very nice concealed carry pocket in it. I'm carrying my PM9 in it that had previously been relegated to safe duty. First time in my life I'm carrying a BUG.

For comparison it leans against the front seat with the carry pocket handy and I can get into it from that spot in probably less time than it would take to unzip a pouch.

The idea of the bag is to hold the firearm while driving. Otherwise it leaves the truck with me, no overnight storage.

And it's a good idea. Not out in plain sight, easily accessible, and easy to discreetly bring it with you when you exit. That last being something that having a holstered gun in the same place might not lend itself to.
