Sorry in advance if linking current auctions is a no-no. I found this and thought it interesting.

You can ask whatever you want, but what gets paid is the real value. It will be interresting to see what it goes forr.

That will not sale. The used Kahr market is soft on everything except a T9. Heck, so is the new market. Being rare doesn't hold the same weight that a S&W revolver, a Dog, or even a Glock would hold....

No, that will not sell. It doesn't help that the seller put Ex Con in the title. I assume it means excellent condition, but that wasn't my first thought...

I thoght it was interesting that you can see the marks where they were pushing the slide stop pin out. Also, the slide stop seems awfully close to hitting the grip, especially with the factory ones.

I wish Kahr kept that serial numbering system. Makes sense.

Those wood grips look nice. I’d have to get Bawanna to do some checkering though. Priced high though.

I have both of those grips on my K9 Elite. The wooden ones sure are pretty but a bit fat for me. I shoot the rubber ones better.

I agree, it won't sell at that price. Most people don't even know what a Kahr is, much less want to dish out over a grand for an early one.
I like the German WW2 system of serializing weapons. Batches of 10,000. Year date, 4 digit serial number, followed by an alphabet letter denoting which batch of 10,000 for that year. 1994 0001a, 0002b, etc.
People just think rare = high value but only demand = high value.
I wondered about "Ex Con" too, also thinking "ex convict?"

Those grips can be thinned quite a bit. Those early rubber grips are really nice, much sought after.

36 /100 has been relisted, but here's a better deal on K9 18/100 : https://www.gunbroker.com/item/854062567

Wow! That is pretty neat and from a seller that actually wants to sell it.
