Open carried into a gas station wearing a full face covering (welding shield)........NO PANIC ALARM USED. Clerk complimented me on my mask. Paid cash up front for gas, pumped, came back in for receipt.

Crazy times.

They probably never saw the firearm...mask gets a lot of attention and that gas station has a clerk that open carries on the clock.

That's a good one!

I heard on the local radio the other day an ad by a local tee shirt maker that is making "designer masks with your logo on them." I hope he does well enough to survive this!

No open carry today but wore my clear face shield and dust mask into another gas station. I was only one with a mask except for this one child who had on a surgical mask but his mother did not.

People were social distancing and the two clerks had up a plastic shield at the counter, the best I've seen of the three gas stations I've been inside the last few weeks. (Not driving much, no need for gasoline).

Anyway a guy walks past, gives me a bizarre look and I just can't help myself. I say "just got back from New York City."

He looks stunned and says "OMG really?" I said "no sh**." (Which was a lie, haven't been to NYC since 1997).

I walk up to the counter and tell them "you think I'm protecting me from you but I'll really protecting you from me" and wink.

Humor is harder to convey now that no one can see more than my eyes. :(

Had a chat in the parking lot (6 feet away!) from the mom and masked child. Turns out they were sick with "something awful, worse than flu, symptoms like they talk about on TV, for a month, back in February."

Hopefully they've already had it and are immune. I encouraged her to get a serology test ASAP.
