Just like in teaching, no one with any self respect is going to stay in policing, certainly not the large liberal cities. When the people won't respect you it's bad but when the administration and leadership views your job as "evil," it's past time to go.

You'll be left with the suck-ups, political appointees, and the ones hanging on till retirement. Recruitment will go down, no one with any brains is going to go into a field where doing the right thing will equal getting fired, doxxed, your house spray painted. Oh I know......it's disgraceful but understand, that's what you get out of the weak...they encourage this type of behavior.

I began offering my ski condo at a 10% discount to all military soon after buying it but after Obama's attacks on police, I expanded that to include police, EMS, and even security guards although they don't seem very likely to ski. One season, I had several officers in a row....word must have gotten out. For the last five years I have had the same retired police officer and his youth group. Last year he left me a department coin, which I treasure. This year he plans to leave me one from state police, where he works now.

For years I have walked up and thanked officers for what they do. I have backed up officers on their calls when I was a rental cop and when I see an arrest being made, I watch and stand ready to help the officer if need be. If a crowd tried to harass him, I would offer my courage and my tools, if it came to it.

A few years ago, in a nearby town, a suspect was wrestling with the officer. Well the suspect ended up worked over by the then no-longer bystanders.

I once offered to loan an officer my own backup gun, after he (astonishingly) had forgotten his primary!

Just when I thought things were starting to settle down it started up again, last night an African American young man pulled into a burger joint drive through and ordered some food but then fell asleep in line because he was very drunk and the other cars had to try and drive around him to pick up their orders so the manager went out to see what the problem was and decided to call Atlanta Police to deal with it so an officer was dispatched and saw the guy was passed out drunk and opened the car door to try and wake the guy up but the drunk driver didn't like that and started fighting the officer who decided to use his taser to get the guy to stop fighting but the very drunk gentleman tried to take the officers taser away which resulted in him being shot dead right there by the officer who was alone and had to deal with it without any backup.....Well guess what happened next, BLM brought their prostesters in mass and took over the highway and blocked anybody from entering the Wendy's like it was their fault a drunk pulled into their business and passed out....Well now APD Police Chief Erika Shields has resigned because an officer had to do his frekin job so he could go home safe to his family.....This is BS and it needs to stop right now......

Shooting was completely justified, we are under no duty to be TASER'ed, certainly not by a felon in possession of a police TASER. TASER's look very much like firearms. The officer may be fired but he won't be prosecuted. What will be prosecuted is any arrest of any black person, no matter what they do. Businesses are between a rock and hard place. They can't keep blacks out,now they can't have them removed when the misbehave, else they burn down. As this keeps up (and it will) no one will put a restaurant in a black neighborhood. It has to happen now---not from the top---but a free society simply must have a self-policing society. That's being taken away now, done away with and excused. When a business has to put up with one race sleeping at the wheel in the drive thru, blocking traffic, especially when the inside cannot be used (virus), then the business cannot operate.

A few years ago, at the local Sheetz gas station, twice in the same week I was accosted by panhandlers. One was literally standing by the register and one tried to bum at the door, after yelling profanities at someone in the parking lot.

After the second instance, I went back in the day time and asked to speak with the manager, in private. I informed him of what happened, what days and times. I cautioned him "if this gas stations gets the reputation of this sort of thing, no customer you want will come back. This place will close and you will be the first to be fired. You simply must fix this now. Run them off or hire good security to do it for you."

He must have taken my advice because it hasn't happened again. Now image his not being able to do anything for fear of the station being torched.

That is exactly what happened in Atlanta. Exactly.

I watched the CBS reporting of the Rashard Brooks shooting and it is blatant how they left out the sleeping in the drive thru and set out to cast the police as going after the guy. It's so obvious. They skipped the part where the fire was at the very Wendy's that called police on the man. They showed the fire but left that part out.

The newscaster literally said "all was fine until he failed a breathalzyer." Well duh! That's when an arrest is required by law! The suspect then fought the police, grabbed a TASER, and ran away. They acted as if "drunk driving was no big deal." Now the cop is fired for following his training?

I guess I'm missing something here, the evening news was all about how Rayshard was a great father and his wife Tamiko was sobbing to the camera saying why didn't they just let him come home to his children, they didn't have to murder him......Well last time I checked if you are so drunk behind the wheel that you pass out in a Wendy's drive through you should A. Not be trying to drive while drunk and B. being such a great family man and father figure perhaps you should be home and kiss your children good night and not driving around drunk in the middle of the night....It's hard to see from the video and who knows how much has been clipped to make the officer look bad but but what we know is Rayshard was given a breath test and was obviously drunk and was being arrested when he somehow grabbed the officers taser and took off running, the officer naturally chased the man and when he saw him turn and fire the taser all he saw was a flash so his training kicked in and used his duty weapon to stop the threat.....This was a good shoot by the officer, he had just a few seconds to try and figure out what has happening then seeing a very real threat he did what he was trained to do and was fired for it basically because our mayor Queen Keisha Lance Bottoms is on the short list to be Sleepy Joe's VP candidate so she was willing to do anything to look good to her people and didn't mind ending a Police Officers career to better her chances...

I mentioned before in a previous post about my neighbor Mr Horace who is a retired Dekalb County Police Officer who was shot 5 times in the line of duty and somehow lived then after he recovered worked several more years on the force if he would ever go back on the job and do it again and he said not today, no way no how, not for any amount of money would he ever wear a badge again with things the way they are today......

One last thing that I noticed on the video of the Wendy's restaurant being torched was that it was two young white kids that set the fire and they need a long time behind bars because of their crimes and I hope their patents are proud of their little snowflakes, they are still trying to ID them and I hope they have to face a Judge for the damage they caused so this isn't just about race, it's about anarchy across the board......I am saddened for the future of our once great country when these little socialists take over...

I don’t remember the line exactly you’re mentioning but your being around here about as long as I have you might remember they keep us on a loose leash as long as there is no attacking each other. Seems like our admins do allow concern for freedoms a loose leash though as long as we’re cordial toward each other. In particular if it leans to a 2A issue.

Ralph If you pay attention to the real estate market, more and more people are moving to the outlying areas. They have a real shortage of housing in rural areas. Citizens are tiring of all this crime and negativity. The WE generation panders to the "poor me" outlook. If a politician was smart, and I say if, all they would have to do is promise them a free phone, and they would have them in their front pocket. All these liberal professors and teachers in our colleges teaching our youth about "tailored history" and "their" view of the world. If I had a child that wanted to go to college, I would check out colleges with a fine tooth comb and find out just what their ideas of "teaching" really are. My wife said that when she taught in the system, she never saw so many liberal teachers drift away from the "book" and just teach their "opinions". The college system is ruining our young and are a major factor in what is happening in todays world. Young, impressionable minds, who are slowly being "liberalized". Otherwise, they have a hard enough time trying to do their own laundry. We still have responsible youth in our country. Comes from the parents, not the teachers. I don't think that what is happening in our colleges is talked about enough. Conservatives ought to be concerned............................

If you pay attention to the real estate market, more and more people are moving to the outlying areas. They have a real shortage of housing in rural areas. Citizens are tiring of all this crime and negativity. The WE generation panders to the "poor me" outlook. If a politician was smart, and I say if, all they would have to do is promise them a free phone, and they would have them in their front pocket. All these liberal professors and teachers in our colleges teaching our youth about "tailored history" and "their" view of the world. If I had a child that wanted to go to college, I would check out colleges with a fine tooth comb and find out just what their ideas of "teaching" really are. My wife said that when she taught in the system, she never saw so many liberal teachers drift away from the "book" and just teach their "opinions". The college system is ruining our young and are a major factor in what is happening in todays world. Young, impressionable minds, who are slowly being "liberalized". Otherwise, they have a hard enough time trying to do their own laundry. We still have responsible youth in our country. Comes from the parents, not the teachers. I don't think that what is happening in our colleges is talked about enough. Conservatives ought to be concerned............................



The School systems have become one of the worst Propaganda machines in the US. Some say it makes CNN look like childs play. Revisionist history is now being mandated. It has become so extreme down where I live that any Teachers that are Republica dare not say it to other members or teachers. To say that you do not support BLM will get you fired.
My brother is a High School History Teacher. Has been a dedicated History Buff since a kid. In college he was chosen as the top History Student at Graduation. He now say's that he is sickened by what he is forced to teach about the CIVIL WAR. He says he is forced to lie, even Governor Northam aka (Black Face) issued a mandate of Revisionist history to suite BLM.

Banning of Books. For example a African American mother came to the School Board and wanted them to ban Mark Twain lititure. Why? Because the books like Tom Sawyer etc. would have the "N" word in the text. Now, the woman was so stupid to actually not understand that Mark Twain's books were actually "ANTI-RACIALISM. But of course the School Board caved in and banned the books, yet boom boxes scream out the N world with Rap songs so loud you can hear them in the next County. And of course if a song has killing a Cop, that is accepted.
My brother say's he has one more year until retirement and only hopes in can endure the disease or cancer that has taken over the school systems.

One way to do that is compulsory military service on graduation from HS. It might be tax money well spent, getting kids in shape mentally and physically, if any of today's tubs of goo meet the weight requirements in the first place.

Couple of ways: most people don't vote and most of those that do vote on emotion alone. People are too busy to pay that much attention to politics.

It suddenly dawned on me what the defund police is all about with the democratic politicians. They don't really believe they can live without police or even a reduced police force. They want to divert the money saved to social programs. When the need for more police is proven again they plan to raise taxes to pay for it. Just a different way to get the social programs they want without raising taxes right away. They know when things get bad enough people will vote for increased taxes to be safe again.
