I just purchased my first Kahr, a CM9. I would like to replace the front sight with a night sight. However, all I can find are fiber optic sights from Dawson. I don’t see any listed on Kahr’s website, and I haven’t received a response when I emailed them.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know Trijicon once made them, but don’t see them on their website either.

Kahr has Truglo Tritium Pros on their website:
Front sight: https://shopkahrfirearmsgroup.com/cm-ct-cw-s-series-truglo-tritium-pro-front-night-sight-kit/

Front and rear: https://shopkahrfirearmsgroup.com/cm-ct-cw-s-series-truglo-tritium-pro-night-sights-kit/

I've no experience with these on a "C" series Kahr so I don't know if the front sight will work well with a Kahr rear sight (like the old Tritium front sight did). I think I'd be inclined to go with the set.

A different beast, but I do have Tritium Pros on my P45 and think they are pretty good:

I believe Dawson makes their sights in house, so it might be worthwhile to give them a call.

Greg

Thanks for finding those. Not sure why I couldn’t locate them on their website.

Kahr's website is rather whack. Even a phone call to customer service and the reply "oh yes, that's in stock" doesn't mean it is actually in stock. I paid for a holster listed "in stock," told by the rep "yep that's in stock" back in April and I'm still waiting for it. I called the customer service line last week....they still don't have it.

Personally I don't like "3 dot sights," but you may and that's great if you do. How about XO sights? (formerly "Ashley Express").

I really like the factory sights, the post and dot, but would like a night sight on front and one on the back. I think Heine made those but I don’t see them for the CM line.

Thanks for the link. Just ordered the front sight only kit for CM9. I did not know they had the new Brand in stock yet. A few months ago, I had ordered the other brand and it went on for what seemed like months and never was shipped. Always stating they were out of stock. Even billed my credit card. Finally I called and they said they were discontinued. They did take the charge off my card. Glad to see the new brand in stock ( called to verify).
Personally I do not want or need a rear sight for pocket guns or Micro 9'mm. I shoot enough fast action, point and shoot that a rear sight on these small receiver just get to distracting. I do not target shoot them, so this works out perfect.
Again thanks for the heads up.
By the way, the front original sight is cracked. Cheap plastic.

Lol, here we go again. What total BS. I called up to make sure they were not going to pull the same crap again. Yes, we have in stock. So hung up and ordered right away. Now get this email.

Well, went ahead and ordered the Full Set. Now will wait and see if they send me a email of back order. Lol, I also ordered a Sight Pusher. Might end up with a sight pusher with no sight to use. Ordered the Universal which sells for $79. on amazon, for $49.00 and free shipping on Ebay.

I went a different route; bit the bullet and had my LGS mill a dovetail for the front sight ($75) on my CM9 slide; to which I fitted a set of TFOs; grn. ft., yel. rear sights for a Kahr.I now have a pair of sights that stand out in all daylight conditions or in total darkness. don't need my lasermax anymore.

Cool, I lost my LGS. For some unkown reason mine had to shut down by ATF. Seems his ex-wife found some dire or something. I saw on a Ruger forum, some guy that wanted his slide cut, but all the vendors that do such work were back logged. Should have bought a P series. (former guns smith was great and great prices and turn around, he ended up working for a LGS and prices for any work just about doubled and turn around terrible. Have a good gun Smith, take care of him, they are worth their weight in Gold.)

The Kahr night sight saga continues. Sight pusher has arrived, Kahr now say's after purchase again, OUT OF STOCK. Lol, why can't they just tell you this before you purchase the damm part? This is the third time now. The first time, the product had been discontinued yet they still listed it and charged my card. And the killer is they have no problem telling you the part is in stock with a phone call before purchase. They were also suppose to send me a front sight on one CM that was cracked. Have never seen it. I guess it was because they were suppose to have it in with the first order with the night sight.

Kahr sight saga new chapter. Obviously do not have any night sight to put on my CM9's but did use My new Sight Pusher to remove one of the rear sights. The Universal Sight tool took it off with ease. (however, it takes a while to figure out the proper placement and how the tool works correctly for alignment. (just a learning curve). For $49.00 with free shipping, my only regret is not buying one years ago.

What gets me the most is that Kahr is still advertising their night sights when the product is long discontinued. Come on Kahr, at least take it off your parts lists or at the very least tell folks it is discontinued rather than taking orders for a product that does not exist.

Well alas, My night sights for the CM finally came in. The "Pro Glo" set. I will order a second set for my other CM9. Thank God, I love the Kahr and no one yet as duplicated the light weight of this fine gun. Ounces DO matter. And the Trigger is enjoyed by so many. Hard to find a sweet DAO like the Kahr. My Nano which is a gun I also love also has that sweet striker fired DAO like Kahr and another favorite which I had out last Sunday and Monday for another 300 rds. I now have over 13,000 through that gun. I also own two of them.
By the way here is going back a few years, but a good article on the Kahr Trigger.

I put a APX carry grip on one of my Nano's but will be putting the Nano grip back on. Most like the Carry grip better, but I still prefer the original Nano. My hand at trying to do my own stipling. I carry the Kahr more due to the fact that it is about 3 ounces lighter than the Nano.

This might be blasphemy to some, but I'm gonna go ahead and tell this on myself and take the heat.
At some point I got to believing the grip on my CM9 could be improved. I tried the "ghetto grip" ( piece of rubber inner tube) and thought it helped, but still wasn't completely satisfied. Eventually, I went to Home Depot and bought a roll of "Friction Tape". Put a few wraps around the grip...Not too much...just enough to work for me, my hand size, etc.
That has proven to be a GREAT choice. I carry that CM9 daily in a Don Hume JIT holster. Haven't had any "issues" with the tape wraps. Haven't had to Re-do it. If I do...I have a whole roll of tape available. At this point, I'm not interested in changing out the friction tape for anything else.
Looks like hell, I DON'T CARE. My CM9 is a TOOL. Nothing more.

I tried the ghetto grip also with the same result; my best fix (for me) was to use a houge sleeve, (I like finger grooves) and slipped a rubber fender washer under the sleeve to increase the palm swell and did the same on the weak side to suit me. trimed washers to conform to match grip angles. washers come in various diameters and thickness;about .50 ea. depending on size,so buy a couple different thicknesses and try fit. who cares how it looks if it works.

I've always preferred the Pachmayr grip sleeve myself. A bit on the squishy side for recoil and fills the palm nicely, at least with my hand size, normal size hand, longer fingers.

I use a strip of non-skid on the front & back grip panels, secure grip.

UPdate on CM sight removal. Took out my other CM9 and removed the rear sight. This time I sprayed it with "Blaster" penetrating spray. The dang thing came out with total ease. At first I though I was doing something wrong. Checked it and sure enough it was just gliding out. No pressure at all to turn the sight tool bolt.

I really like this sight and will be placing one on my other CM as well. It seems to be much brighter than other night sights I have. The Front sight is larger than the standard siight and very easy to pick up for fast point and shoot. I will hopefully in the next few days do some comparison's and some pics at low light and dark. well worth the money I spent.

Here is a comparison. This is in just low light. You can see how bright they are. And they make a difference in low light like a indoor range. The sights are bigger, but especially the front sight which I think is the important one for point and shootl

Heads up, Kahr sent me a notice that the Front sight is finally in stock. (My order was on hold for months) and wanted to recharge my credit card) So if interested on the front sight ONLY you should order now. Again, I personally thing for the type of gun and for fast point and shoot the Front sight is all that is needed. (plus it saves money)
