Donald Trump, George Bush and Joe Biden were set to face a firing squad in a small central American country. Donald Trump was the first one placed against the wall and just before the order was given he yelled out "Earthquake". The firing squad fell into a panic and Donald Trump jumped over the wall and escaped during the confusion
George Bush was the second one placed against the wall. The squad was reassembled and George pondered what he had just witnessed. Again before the order was given George yelled out "Tornado". Again the squad fell apart and George slipped over the wall.
The last person Joe Biden was placed against the wall. He was thinking, I see the pattern here, just scream out something about a disaster and hop over the wall. He confidently refused the blindfold as the firing squad was reassembled. As the rifles were raised in his direction, he grinned from ear to ear and yelled "Fire!!”

Some things just need saying so here goes,

Many people hated him 4 years ago and hate him more to this day.... I've seen a lot of nasty disgusting things thrown his way but this guy is a consistent winner and over achiever who even at his advanced age gives it his all and that's what the people who love and support him care about the most....He's out there working hard everyday proving the media wrong time and time again....Call it jealousy or envy some people just can't handle how successful he is and how much money he has and that he has a hot foreign model as his wife....Some may have not wanted him to be in his current role but there is nothing the haters could have done to prevent it and yes last week was terrible but love him or hate him Tom Brady is doing his very best to turn things around for the Tampa Bay Bucs....

Glad you're still posting mr surveyor, good to hear from another Kahrtalk old timer out there....I'm about to hit that milestone birthday in a couple weeks where you are officially old and can collect Social Security and such and my younger wife is really rubbing it in with things like, would you rather have a walker with tennis balls or one of those necklace emergency "Help I've fallen and can't get up" things so I took it and smiled and didn't say anything but I finally told her what I really want for my old man birthday......I told her my Old Spice after shave was about to run out and while in Macy's the other day I found some French cologne I really liked called Leme'dufa so she actually goes on the internet and starts searching for Leme'dufa Cologne....when she figures it out I may be in big trouble....

Almost 9 1/2 years ago for me... kind of traumatic for me... could no longer get care at the Navy clinic... had to go with Medicare and all civilian care.

My wife turns 65 the end of February and she got her Medicare package and the CARD! in the mail about a month ago! I don't remember if I had to request mine or what.

We're both retired USAF with Social Security at 62, so 25% cut in checks. We'll both be on Tricare for Life, as I have been since 65. That pretty much covers everything. They are real stingy with the doctors and hospital payments, but we usually have to pay for nothing.

Drugs that they have are "free" at the base pharmacy or low co-payments with Express Scripts or local pharmacies for some things... my latest from Publix: Amoxcillin free and like $4.12 or so for a weeks worth of hydrocodone for my dental surgeries.

Funeral for a Homeless Man

As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper’s cemetery in the Kentucky back country.

As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn’t stop for directions.

I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch.

I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn’t know what else to do, so I started to play.

The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I’ve never played before for this homeless man.

And as I played Amazing Grace, the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car. Though my head hung low, my heart was full.

As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, “I never seen nothin’ like that before and I’ve been putting in septic tanks for twenty years.”
