Kahr Customer Service turn-around time?

Hi folks! My K9 is at Kahr, was curious what the turn-around time is usually. I’ve seen anywhere from 1-5 weeks, I’m currently going on 4 weeks.

It varies considerable depending on how busy they are but also what the issue is. My K40 long ago required a new slide and there were not any in the repair line so they were waiting to make more. I asked for a stainless instead of a blued and got the gun back 2 days later.

I am very impatient myself, I'd see no harm in sending an email and asking the status, I prefer that over a phone call not only cause I'm deaf and can't hear on a phone but that allows them to answer at their convenience and not put on the spot.

I'd say at week four it shouldn't be much longer.

I had to doublecheck but this Friday, January 1st will be 4 weeks so I was a bit off. Hopefully it’ll get sent out this week. They said 4-5 weeks so they were upfront which I appreciate. If there’s no news by the end of this week I may shoot them an email

Actually that notification quite often doesn't happen. I've only had to send back that one time and it was returned to my PD at the time. Others report it arriving at their home unannounced.
This may have improved by now, been awhile since it's been brought up.

I worked at the PD. Sent it in from the PD. LE generally goes to the front of the line and the gun is always returned to the address from where it was shipped. I should have clarified that.
I'm retired now so no longer able to do that.

Lol nope, still at Kahr with no update. I’m emailing Monday, this is kind of ridiculous for a few small aesthetic issues

I sent an email beginning of the week asking about estimated time left. Who knows, I’m calling next week and asking. If they give me a “we’re still working on it”, I’m asking for a higher up

Just spoke to Mark, heÂ’s been helping me through the whole process and heÂ’s honestly been awesome. ItÂ’s hard to stay frustrated when the CS is so friendly. He recognized me right away. So the gunsmiths are at lunch right now, when theyÂ’re off heÂ’s going to inquire with them on how much longer and give me a call later today, will keep everyone updated.

P.S. (I was friendly, I know itÂ’s not MarkÂ’s fault. HeÂ’s been nothing but helpful to me and I appreciate that

Update: SHE’S COMING HOME NEXT WEEK!!!

Mark called me back, said they’re all finished up, it’ll go to cleaning and packaging either today or Monday and be shipped out Tuesday/Wednesday. Cant wait! Thank everyone for keeping up and the support, I’ll update when it arrives

Do you have your range time scheduled? Remember the break-in round count so you don't get too disappointed with an occaisional ftf, jam, misfire or anything.

Also, and this is important, remember to perform the new Kahr prep. You do not necessarily need a surface grinder for this.

Not yet! I’ve never used Magguts, how do you like them? I’m somewhat hesitant to carry anything but OEM mag/spring but if they’re reliable, I’m open to it

Oh wow, there’s only one fella working on returns? I forget Kahr is nowhere near as big as other companies like Glock/Sig/S&W

Big enough and nobody knows for sure if there is one guy or 10. I think that was just conjecture.
