The end of freedom of speech is here. Uncle Joe has banned the use of the term "China Virus" Yes, I checked on it because the whole thing sounded unbelievable. He is also banning conservative news people from his news conferences.

He is really working hard to promote his whole "unite America" campaign pledge. Really what he should have said is that he wants to unite all Americans as long as we conform to the leftist, liberal bull$#!+ stuff he and the rest of the Democraps are spewing.
I haven't been calling it the "China virus", I have been calling it "Corona". Guess I'll be changing that starting tomorrow.

Creepy Joe reminds me of the Mel Brooks character from “Blazing Saddles” Governor Le Petomane wearing the suit coat with “GOV” printed on the back and would sign anything placed in front of him so long as his nose was buried in cleavage.....

Mel Brooks at his peak. That scene still works as well as any Marx Brothers movie.

I'm not a fan, but from what I've read the order applies to federal agencies and public health documents.

It's important to remind ourselves that we can say anything we want to say. It works for the press. Regardless of what Biden or Kamala have to say we can say whatever we want.
Now Facebook or some of those places can punish you for saying things they don't agree with, the most that can happen is your booted off like Trump was for saying things they didn't like. Ask yourself is that really a bad thing?
I'm on Fakebook because it keeps me in touch with relatives and such from out of state but nearly everyday I ponder deleting myself. It also proves in looking at it how many many stupid people with no common sense at all are out there. Friends tell me to just block people I don't like. Might as well close my account, there's too many of them.

Delete. Set a goal of one month. Stay in touch with text, or, here's an idea, call.

The World has gone utterly Mad! The Country now divided more than any time in US History. Banning of free Speach, censoring, destruction of Business's across the Country, looting, torching Police Cars, and now watching a President that was never anything but a second rate Political Hack and Puppet and token for Obama. Already just after 8 days in office and we are watching the Country going to hell in a basket fast. I wonder what 6 months from now what it will look like. Scary times are coming.

I'm near deaf. Haven't spoken on a telephone for probably 10 years or more. Email and texting is a genuine gift. Sadly most of my relatives are from Missouri, "the land of common sense" although things are upside down there now days like everyplace else. But most of my relatives don't do the email, texting thing which if I had ears I probably wouldn't either.

In 6 months Kamala will be at the reins with who knows what as a vice president. I'm not terribly afraid of Biden, he's just a puppet but Kamala and the puppeteers scare the heck out of me.

I just re-read Orwell's 1984.
My last read was in the early 80s, when 1984 was looming, but Reagan was potus, and the book was just a lark.
This time, it was a chilling read, and I marvel at Orwell's brilliant insight into human nature:
"War is Peace"
"Freedom is Slavery"
"Ignorance is Strength"
If you read it now, these quotes might jump off the page at you like the did me:
“Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was tacitly denied by their philosophy. The heresy of heresies was common sense.”
Do any of you use the Internet or have Internet connected devices like Alexa, smart phone/television, google home, or neighbors & public entities with Internet-connected cameras?
“Always eyes watching you and the voice enveloping you. Asleep or awake, indoors or out of doors, in the bath or bed—no escape. Nothing was your own except the few cubic centimeters in your skull.”
Who hasn't noticed the elimination or re-framing of our history, from books to statues to names on schools, parks, etc.,
"And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. ‘Who controls the past’ ran the Party slogan, ‘controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.'"
Anyone else concerned about the administration's announcement that they're forming a commission to study the federal judicial system, with attention to the Scotus term limits and possible addition of seats? I.e. court-packing to reclaim a liberal majority.
How about the recent election, and the legalization of ballot harvesting in California?
“We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.”
Remember the academicians falling in line to rationalize the assertion that 2+2=5 ?
How about critical race theory, where you're racist if you support working, egalitarian processes that happened to have been established in a time of identifiable discrimination. However, you're not racist if you're divvying up other folks' stuff and redistributing it according to skin color.
“Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing.”
“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”
Crazy times . . .

I read that book back in 2003 after my son had to read it as part of summer reading for high school. It was an eye opener then reminding me of the Clintons and later the war on terror. I think about it now regularly and can’t believe how close it is now.

I can't recall if you're a veteran. If so, beat feet down to your local VA and get some hearing aids. Theese damn things are amazing these days. I just got off the phone with a sister that lives a next state away and heard every word. They hook up to my phone with blueteeth, whatever that is. My hearing loss is rated severe. If not the VA, how about the PD you worked for?

I'm beyond those aids that hook up to the phone and you can play with via the phone. I have the most powerful aid supposedly Starkey makes. We have a very good hearing aid guy in town and like he's said, you need more than help, all the fancy stuff won't help, I just need power. At first I had one that had a phone setting and one that you could localize so you could hear talking to a person like in a restaurant with a lot of back ground noise. They were cool but need more power now.
My right ear is beyond help so I only have what little is left in the left ear.

How us old people cope with the indiscretions of our youth. Didn't need no stinkin' hearing protection shooting my ol' 357 Blackhawk.
I still pretend that I can't hear my wife even with the aids in.

Not only is the freedom of speech being infringed, but the freedom to make money is also. Read up on the Gamestop fiasco that the stock trading companies Robinhood and TD Ameritrade are pulling. Seems that the common people aren't supposed to profit from trading stocks on their own, that privilege is reserved for the elites. Rush Limbaugh had a really good take on it on Fox News.
Rush Limbaugh: GameStop saga mirrors politics as elites attempt to prevent regular people from benefiting | Fox News (https://www.foxnews.com/media/rush-limbaugh-gamestop-story-mirrors-politics-elites-attempt-regular-people-benefiting)
I seriously wonder what is wrong with people.

That's the first thing every ear doctor I've seen asked. You can't hear anyone or you just can't hear your wife? They call it selective hearing loss.
They figured my dad's hearing loss was due to hours on a tractor with his head turned back to watch the implements. He was opposite of me, his left ear was gone. They assume mine is from around construction, machine racket. I'm sure I was abusive at times shooting now and then but generally was pretty careful with ear protection. I often times wore plugs and head phones especially at an outdoor range with high powered rifles.
I think what finished my right ear was at a party and met a fella, name like Barry or Barney or something and I apparently couldn't hear it correctly, he got right up to my right ear and screamed the name as loud as he could. That was pretty much the end of that ear.

I am astonished and deeply saddened by where we are at right now as a nation. It's so depressing. The damage this Biden/Harris admin is going to do will be the end of America. The list of the damage caused in just the first week is staggering. I don't think there's any denying it. This is an unmitigated disaster, having lost thru fraud the Presidency, and watching the left cheat to win and the GOP and Courts stand by and allow it. This is a nightmare. It seems we are literally in the midst of a compilation dystopian novel "Atlas Shrugged at the Animal Farm in 1984...".
Right now the 1A is gasping its dying breath. The cancel culture is deleting or silencing thru bullying anyone with a sane viewpoint, while the media has a monopoly on dispersion of propaganda. It's very hard to get truth out. Even many gun-forums refuse to allow information as they want to appease the masses and not delve into politics, which is an error. We are going to be silenced and lose all of our rights.
Have you even looked at the draconian gun control that will probably be thrust upon us? It will make you sick...
