It’s membership renewal time. Thoughts from my friends at KahrTalk?
I haven't yet seen a full, comprehensive report on what was afoot with LaPierre's(sp?) allegingly misusing funds. I'm still waiting on that, and am glad my own renewal is still a couple of years out.

You just said something very important and so true. On some forums they are tearing the NRA apart. And the Use Wayne P as he excuse for disparaging he NRA. Lately I did a little research and no wonder. Many are actual Liberals. In fact one poster asked who they voted for and right away the Moderator popped in to say asking that would be a reason to ban any posters. Lol, of course he said this, he is a liberal.
There is one national gun organization that is national. Supposedly they tell you they are Pro 2A. But in Virginia these same people will tell you this and then turn around and vote for the one of the MOST ANTI 2A leaders in the US. Gov Ralph Northam. A leader of BLM which by the way is a Political organization in itself.
Yes, I will stand tall with the NRA. I will NOT be a coward and turn and run after so many years they have been good to myself and my family and my Gun Club. Not to mention so many other things they have helped with over the years.

I support the NRA also. I've upgraded my membership to Benefactor last year, but still manage to send them a few nickels now and then.

I want the NRA to be successful but as long a LaPete is running the show they will not get one dime from me. I have been a member off and on for over fifty years and when Cumo illegally enacted the SAFE Act along with all its unconstitutional addendum the NRA did and continues to do, NOTHING! You would think they would put their money where their mouth is, on the front line, the line in the sand, but no, they have to support Waynes' life styles of the rich and famous and have precious little left over to fight the very thing they claim to be the champion for, our God given right to keep and bear arms! Besides compromising and the incremental erosion of one of our most important right, to the point where, in the near future, we may no longer have a first amendment to ***** about losing the second. Oh yeah, and in case you think, er, New York. The NRA has sucked more money from this state than any other, this isn't a city, it is a state filled with good people and we have sacrificed more in fighting our wars to preserve our freedoms than any other. Screw them!

NRA - It is indispensable.
Hoping very much to weather this storm because the would be dictators on the left are taking full advantage and trying desperately to kill it. They know.
BTW, I'm very disappointed in Ollie North.

OK, so here's the thing. In this month's American Rifleman, in the column by Wayne LaPierre he has a section titled "Dumping a Corrupted Regime". Now admittedly I don't know whether there was any truth to the reports of the misuse of funds by him and others in NRA leadership. And I may have missed any explanation, denial, apology, or anything else he might have said in regards to it. Barring any of that, if there is truth to the reports then he and/or anyone else that may have been involved should be dumped. Why? Because if there is corruption in the leadership then it can be used against the organization, and by extension all proponents of the 2A. Not only in possible blackmail against them (which could preclude efforts to fight gun control), but also in credibility. There is a saying that has become prevalent of late in that we should never give an inch. A corrupt leadership amounts to much more than an inch in the fight against gun control. While I fully understand and support our need of the NRA, if there is corruption, dishonesty, and/or criminal behavior in the leadership then we can not afford not to remove it.
If I missed an explanation by anyone in the NRA leadership regarding those reports I would very much appreciate someone pointing it/them out to me.

I haven't decided who will get my support................lot's of smaller organizations that do good work. I'm not real happy with the NRA lately. Seems like they could be sliding in the wrong direction................Have supported in the past.

I’ve been a NRA member since 1976 and sometimes I get tired of all the mail and requests for more contributions but I always sent them a check because, like them or not, they are really the only thing between legal gun owners and the anti gun left.....I’ve been disturbed by what the media has said about “Wayne’s World” and the misuse of members funds but remember this, Congress is nothing more than legal organized crime and always has been....I guarantee you that there is not a single member of Congress who spent millions of dollars in order to get a position that pays about what a small town city mayor makes because they love America and care about their constituents needs....The real reason they are there is because that’s where the big lobbyist money is and nothing more......The NRA is a lobbyist in our favor and our wonderful Congress doesn’t care who buys their vote so long as those fat envelopes keep coming in.....The NRA continues to support our 2A rights and until the Jack Boots kick down my door to secure my weapons to keep me safe I’ll continue to support the NRA because they are all we have that the gangsters listen to..
I am on several 2A forums and am hearing much about what President airhead plans to do in the next two weeks through executive order in regard to gun control so we have to remain strong and undivided......Does it bother you that every time Biden speaks to the media that VP Commie LaLa is always standing in the background dressed in all black like a vulture waiting for a meal.......

When you have been around as long as I have you see there has been giving, too much giving, and those inches have become miles and there is no accountability.

Thanks for the info Slowburn.
Do you know what came of the NRA lawsuit against AM? Or the published reasons behind Col. North being replaced as President of the NRA?

One thing for sure. A lot of talk about the NRA, but they have not even had their day in Court. That said, the one organization that the Anti's want to fail is NRA. It means more to them than just 2A rights. It means destroying Power. They all know the NRA. LOL, since when do you hear a Liberal Rag saying something like We want to destroy the GOA. Lol they do not even have a clue they exist for God Sake. GOA who? And even the Libs are smart enough to figure out that if they destroy the NRA any of the other small squirts will fall like a set of dominoes.
However it you want the NRA to fail, then send some of these post up to the organizations that are out to destroy it. They would love to hear from you. Heck, tell the NEW YORK attorney general that is against them, she would love it to read some of these posters comments against.
GOA who?

I'm sticking with the NRA. Been a fan for almost 50 years. Besides, my old man amusement park requires NRA membership so that's good enough for me!

I don’t know what happened to the suit. Regarding North I think there was some sort of statement of support for LaPierre from the board but I didn’t save it. Almost as soon as North was ousted the anti gun NY atty general began action vs the NRA. They’re also trying the same crap they’re using against gun businesses of pressuring banks to drop the NRA. Latest I saw was the NRA letter about dissolving in NY and reorganizing in Texas which seems wise to me.
Thanks. Must mean something that North is gone and WLP is still there.

I have been with the NRA since I was a kid. Shooting matches with them starting at age 12. Yes, the membership is required at my club. And we found it keeps a lot of riff raff out. Not only that, but they helped us when we were new. Helped up with our Bern's. The also help support the Boy Scouts each summer. We have had ongoing support from them. It would be nice to see all the great things they do instead of some trying to bash the Organization. If you believe all the Rhetoric about WLP then send them a letter and express your thoughts and concerns to them rather than get on a firearm forum and letting loose with a lot of negative chatter. It does not do any good for all of us, just aids the LEFT that loves to hear it.

Also, if you don't like all the mail and solicitation from the National Rifle Association, call 'em and let them know. It'll stop.
