None of us invest in a Kahr handgun and expect it to appreciate appreciably, but it would be nice.

There is an on-line auction house nearby me that has three Kahrs being auctioned off. This is the first time I've seen this.

I'm not sure this link will work, but I'll give it a try in case any wants to follow the auction and see what the final bid is. There is also an auction for a K40 and a MK40 this month.

Hey! I just checked and this sweetheart is at $280 with 5 days remaining.

Like ebay, most of the bidding happens in the last couple of minutes.

2 months ago I scored a used MK9 on close out for $339. I had been looking for one for almost 2 years.

Congratulations on a great price for a beautiful pistol! (But, I still can be a little uncomfortable with guns I own being closed out with no newer, better, faster models to fill the void.)

Here's a nice K40 being auctioned off at Gunrunner...

I'll be back in a minute with a link to the MK 40 in the same auction.

Here's the MK40.

Does the barrel hood look hacked to you? Also, screw missing in grip panel, betcha' the threads are gone in frame. Highest bid so far on the three. Maybe because it has a CT.

I've bought and sold at this auction site a few times. This is perhaps the only Kahrs I've seen. Usually 500-525 guns are auctined every month.

Those auctions are completed. If you are curious, you can blink on the supplied links and see what the final price was. This auction house has a 10% buyers premium added to the auction price ($528). You'd probably have to pay tax, too. $480 is a pretty good price for the seller, except that he has to pay 15% sellers fee ($410 to the seller.)

Actually, all in all, these prices arn't too bad. These are current products, still in production (I think) and represent a fair discount over new, IMO.
