What are you planning on to shoot them with? I wouldn't recommend a Kahr if that is what you are thinking. You'd never get close enough to a coyote, and I wouldn't want to get that close to a big old boar even with the mighty .45 ACP.

a good hog dog and a 12" pig sticker works for some of the young guys around here

In my younger days I would have been all in on using a pig sticker. Now a days, the mind is still strong, but the body has been disintegrating over the past few years.
