What's the difference between factory magazine materials?

I recently purchased two factory magazines that appear to be different in steel? One has a flaked pattern and the other is brushed steel

None that I know of. But you should be sure to take them apart and clean them with solvent. Kahr uses a very gnarly preservative that is like gum as it ages.

I should definitely take it apart, it was pretty nasty on the outside.
