Date of Manufacture

I want to put a fresh set of night sights on my Kahr K9 Elite 03. How do I determine the date of manufacture so that I order the correct sights?

I can't find a picture at the moment but the early rear sights were a straight angle front and back, the newer style has a double angle. There's an angle in the dovetail and then above the slide it angles more, does this make a single lick of sense.

There's also a divot punched on the bottom of the slide but this isn't always conclusive.

If I were to make a guess, I would guess that it is the old sight. I could be wrong:

That's exactly the pictures I was trying to find so hard, never did find them. I agree. The dovetail on the newer is not as sharp angle as the old. It was hard to tell with the sights on weems gun. With the original sights it's easy, just like your pictures.

Thanks! Kahr responded to an email inquiry with the date of my pistol. It was made October 2018.

Anything made after Nov. 2004 has the new style dovetail.

I've had very good luck contacting Kahr on the phone. Just select option 2 for tech support and they'll look up the born on dates
