Sex After Death...A couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and ... inform the other if there is sex after death.
Their biggest fear was that there was no after life at all.
After a long life together, the husband was the first to die.
True to his word, he made the first contact:
" Marion .... Marion "
"Is that you, Bob?"
"Yes, I've come back like we agreed."
"That's wonderful! What's it like?"
"Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast and then it's off to the golf course. I have sex again, bathe in the warm sun and then have sex a couple of more times.. Then I have lunch (you'd be proud - lots of greens). Another romp around the golf course, then pretty much have sex the rest of the afternoon. After supper, it's back to the golf course again. Then it's more sex until late at night. I catch some much needed sleep and then the next day it starts all over again".
"Oh, Bob! Are you in Heaven?"
"No -- I'm a rabbit, living near a golf course, somewhere in South Carolina .” .

So an elderly Italian man living alone in New Jersey wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, since the ground was hard. His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:
Dear Vincent,
I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over.. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.
Love, Papa
A few days later he received a letter from his son.
Dear Pop,
Don’t dig up that garden. That’s where the bodies are buried.
Love,
Vinnie
At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son.
Dear Pop,
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That’s the best I could do under the circumstances.

I didn't think they had V6's back in those days. Straight 6's. My dad insisted I learn to drive on a stick and ours was a 3 on the tree. I had no issue except remembering to push in the clutch when I stopped.
Didn't take long to learn how to side step the clutch when I went solo neither. Wish I had that 69 GMC now. Short bed, straight six.
If I had a nice pair of legs or even ugly ones that worked I'd be driving a stick now.

Between 60 and 66 GMC was very different from Chevy in many ways and were known as a more heavy duty work truck and they offered many engine options not available on a Chevrolet and the V-6 motor was one…..It was known as the “Big Block” V-6 and was a 305 CI and made something like 175 HP which was pretty good in those days…….GMC even offered a monster V-12 engine for their heavy duty freight trucks before Diesel became standard for heavy transport and dump trucks……Today GMC and Chevy are built on the same line and the only difference is GMC costs more…….
Old trucks rule!!!

Definitely fiberglass, if you look close up front you can see the fibers exposed. Myself I'd absolutely love to give that Jeffrey a home. 600 Nitro Express be great for rabbits and 4th of July and stuff.
What a pretty thing she is. Course when pondering wants and desires it would tough between the Jeffrey and the GMC pickup. Or the guy down the streets wife with the Chevy.

I’ve often wondered that myself….There is a company right now building all new steel 32 Ford coupe bodies and modern rolling chassis with all the bells and whistles for less than 20 grand and all you provide is whatever engine/transmission you want and paint…..This product is so much better than anything the Ford factory built back in the day and even if you trick it out with all chrome front end and a high HP V8 motor the whole finished running/driving car would be right around 30K………Now if they can do that why not start making Tri Five Chevy bodies installed on a modern chassis with A/C and a bullet proof LS engine and a 6 speed that you could drive anywhere everyday, they would sell like hotcakes…….

I thought it converted it from bolt action to semi-auto :p
I thought it was a disable button. Only time I ever saw it used was one time at the range when this guy had a bad round that wouldn’t let the bolt go all the way forward, so he beat on the button until he had that round so half way jammed in the chamber that he couldn’t get it out or fire the rifle, thereby disabling it. Then he started doing stupid stuff to try and get it out while pointing it at himself and everyone else. I was glad when he gave up and left.

In the news today, 16 year old teen saves three girls who were following directions from their cell phone GPS and drove their car into a river…………… 16 year old Corion Evans watched from the Pascagoula river bank in southern Mississippi as three young girls drove their car right down a boat ramp straight into the water and he watched as their car sank into the murky river and couldn’t believe what he had seen as the three girls escaped the sinking car and climbed onto the roof screaming for help……The young man’s Boy Scout training kicked in and he swam out and pulled all three girls to shore as well as a Police Officer who had jumped in to help but was going under the water so young Mr. Evans is a hero times 4 and his quick actions saved the day……The moral to this story is some young people these days who are driving and can’t stop looking at their cell phones long enough to realize that they are driving into a river probably don’t deserve to live and reproduce more like them………God help us……

Installed a dual point distributor in my brothers Mustang. What a mistake that was. Constant maintenance.
I think I was partial to Fords and Chryslers because of the distributors were easier to get too.

#MeToo (Lol!). Had a '67 Firebird, '69 Firebird, '69 Vette, '72 Vette, '69 Catalina, '69 Camaro convertible, '52 Dodge (forget the model), an old Willy's (forget the year), and probably 4 or 5 others over the years. Yes, I did use a matchbook cover. Yes, I did convert the hot rods to HEI. My body no longer allows me to bend inwards to an engine bay, or twist up under a dash to get to wiring. Hence my fiddling with guns. Can work on them sitting at a table, bench or standing upright at a high top work table/bench. I do miss going fast!

I too although a devout GM guy preferred the Ford out front distributors. I've always been a death before Dodge guy so didn't mess with those to much.
Can't recall if it was the Fords or Chevy's that had the little slide up door so you could adjust with an allen wrench without pulling the cap 27 times to get it right.
The connector was paired up with the condenser wire and screwed together in the distributor no?
It was the Chevy's that have the little window if memory serves.
American Motors was a conglomeration of other companies' parts. The block in my 290 Javelin was basically a Ford 289 with the distributor up front. But the distributor itself was a Chevy part. The rear axle shafts were an old Desoto part. I know that because it had a tendency to shave the splines at the point where the shaft went through the hub.

I remember the matchbooks... also used them as weak emory boards to clean the contacts. I never got as far as dwell settings, though I watched my stepfather do that on our '53 Studebaker, I think.
I did a lot of work on my single-cylinder Honda SL-125(1971) and dinged the valves after changing the head gasket. My boss's nephew was able to replace the valves and put it back together. I took that bike completely apart and painted the frame and put it back together.

For fun....we used to CHARGE the condensers and put them back in the box and return them to parts department telling parts counter help they were bad. Of course they would pull out of box and get "lit up". That was back in my tech days at Chrysler Plymouth Dealer. It never ceased to amaze me how many times that stunt worked???? All it took was to touch the end of wire lead and condenser can at same time and "toucher" got to enjoy 30,000 volts.
jeepster09
07-14-2022, 12:59 PM
To charge them up we would put metal end of condenser spade into spark plug wire, hold condenser by wire touch can to cylinder head have buddy start car and shut off right away; this CHARGED IT UP.
Would do major harm to anyone due no amperage, just voltage with "teeth".

Georgia
The owner of a golf course in Georgia was confused about paying an invoice, so he decided to ask his secretary for some mathematical help.
He called her into his office and said, “Y’all graduated from the University of Georgia and I need some help. If I wuz to give yew $20,000, minus 14%, how much would you take off?”
The secretary thought a moment, and then replied, “Everthang but my earrings.”
Louisiana
A senior citizen in Louisiana was overheard saying, “When the end of the world comes, I hope to be in Louisiana
”When asked why, he replied, “I’d rather be in Louisiana ‘cause everything happens in Louisiana 20 years later than in the rest of the world.”
Mississippi
The young man from Mississippi came running into the store and said to his buddy, “Bubba, somebody just stole your pickup truck from the parking lot!”
Bubba replied, “Did y’all see who it was?”
The young man answered, “I couldn’t tell, but I got the license number.”
Alabama
A man in Alabama had a flat tire, pulled off on the side of the road, and proceeded to put a bouquet of flowers in front of the car and one behind it. Then he got back in the car to wait.
A passerby studied the scene as he drove by, and was so curious he turned around and went back. He asked the fellow what the problem was. The man replied, “I got a flat tahr.”
The passerby asked, “But what’s with the flowers?”
The man responded, “When you break down they tell you to put flares in the front and flares in the back. I never did understand it neither.”
Tennessee
A Tennessee State trooper pulled over a pickup on I-65. The trooper asked, “Got any ID?”
The driver replied, “Bout whut?”
Texas
The Sheriff pulled up next to the guy unloading garbage out of his pick-up into the ditch. The Sheriff asked, “Why are you dumping garbage in the ditch? Don’t you see that sign right over your head.”
“Yep,” he replied. “That’s why I’m dumpin’ it here, ‘cause it says: ‘Fine For Dumping Garbage.’”
Y’all kin say whut y’all want ‘about the South, but y’all never heard o’ nobody retirin’ an’ movin’ North.

I know this story all too well…I had an 86 Jeep Comanche 4WD pickup I bought used and it was the last year AMC owned Jeep and buying parts for that truck was a nightmare……It had a GM “Iron Duke” 4 cylinder engine with a lot of Mitsubishi parts thrown in as well like the transmission and starter but there was also a fair amount of Ford parts in the mix like an awful carburetor that I replaced with a Chevy part using an intake manifold adapter and some real shade tree engineering linkage hook up but it worked ok until the Ford built rear end which must have been left over from a Pinto puked it’s guts out coming home from work one day so I sold it to a guy that wanted the body parts for his mud truck…….

Good luck guy I hope it helps…..I had cataract surgery Monday and I can see better far off but still trying to find the right up close reader glasses to function with……Old age sucks and being able to see good was something we all took for granted when we were young and thought we were bullet proof but I hope your surgery helps you out and improves your eyesight…...Prayers and good thoughts to you!

I ran out of gas once, went to the gas station and picked some up. This was at night. My '69 Javelin had the spout behind the license plate. As I was filling it up I spilled some because the spout on the can wasn't long enough to make it into the hole before the gas started coming out. I was a smoker in those days and my Bic lighter fell out of my shirt pocket and hit the ground right in the puddle I had made. It landed on the side away from the flint wheel. Otherwise my night could have gotten a whole lot worse in a hurry. I was never so happy to not see a spark when trying to use a Bic lighter as I was that night.

I worked in a service station for a few months in the early 60's and it was a real challenge to find the gas receptacles in those days. Some were pretty tricky... behind tail lights or other weird places... in the frunk? VW?

I drove a 70 Chevy C10 pickup back in the day with the gas tank behind the seat which I’ve always wondered which GM engineer thought was a good idea by installing a bomb right behind the driver…….The bad news was I had to roll down the windows even in the winter to keep from getting high from all the gas fumes but the good news was even though the gas gauge didn’t work right I could always tell when the tank was getting low from the sloshing sound you couldn’t miss……..

I had that exact same model truck I bought in ‘86 in Woodstock, GA. Drove it about a year when I was doing landscape work. It had 3 on the tree and I miss it sometimes. Only change I would do if I still had it would be to change the inline 6 to a V8.

Back in 73, I drove a yellow cab for a living. It ran on propane. The tank was in the trunk. No power but good milage. I always hoped I never got rear ended. Those were the days. I got 20% of the fairs. It was 85 cents for downtown. $1.15 for halfway through town, and $2.15 across town. With a good dispatcher, I made ok dough. I could tell you stories. My best fair was a guy who I picked up at a small airport in town. He needed to catch a plane in Green Bay and needed to get there as fast as possible. It's about a 2-hr. drive and I got him there in an hour. The fair was $250, and he gave me a $500 tip. Best fair I ever had. Never a dull moment being a cab driver.

Now that’s a tip!
When I was stationed in Japan, I got my drivers license so I could be a taxi driver on base when not on duty. Took some getting used to, driving on the opposite side of the car, on the opposite side of the road. On one of my first pick-ups (from the “E club”, a bar for the enlisted folks), about halfway across the base I realized I was driving on the wrong side of the road. I said out loud, “Oh crap! I’ve been driving on the wrong side of the road”! My drunk passenger said, “Yeah, I wasn’t gonna say anything. I wasn’t sure if it was because I’m drunk, but I wanted to see what would happen”. ;)

I think I’m a lil younger than you. I was there 1993-1995. But, for some reason, the name Mike English sounds very familiar.
My best friends dad was there back in the 70’s as well. He showed me pictures of what “The Honch” looked like back then. It had sure changed when I was there. Went back to see it when visiting my wife’s family (I married a Yokohama girl) in 2016 and it had changed a lot from what I had remembered.
Man, those WWII caves all over the base sure were spooky!!!

Well got home from fishing few hours ago, too damn hot to even unload. Right broilin out there.
Didn't catch too many fish but enough, kind of lost my fishin mojo I guess, didn't try too hard.
Did bring home a 9 week old Miniature Schnauzer. Found her day before we left. Cute little bugger, a friend had one and I really liked it, finally took on a pup after losing our dog a few months back. Should be interesting.

Lol! Yokohama's test track is just a bit on the other side of a bay area by my wife's house. You can hear them drifting and burning out over there. I would say by the sounds that they certainly do test the bounderies of those tires! But, I'd rather have the girl! :p
