With some Hippo Tooth that I made some ivory grips for a member here in an earlier life.

You just had to do it didn't you - LOL!
The grips are outstanding...

My grips were custom made from Honduran Rosewood Burl.

Didn't I make you some handles for that long ago? Don't tell me they went to the wood stove on a cold winter......Mine technically don't qualify as a BBQ gun as I carry it more than any other, have for several years.

I never took advantage of your expert services.
VBOBs the only 1911 I've got...

If I get a second one (1911)? You will get the call :)

Dang, I still don't have enough functioning brain cells to overcome my new found case of lessdyxia... I thought the thread title was "BB Guns"! Pleasant surprise :)

It's perfectly acceptable to have more than one set of handles for any gun. No jealousy involved. Dao changes grips like many change their under britches. No worries there.

I haven't made a set of grip in a very long time, have made a bunch. Some I've completely forgotten.

Me too! Mine from oldtimers.

My VBOB grips were made by Mr. Ryan Payne aka The Sarge of "The Finer Grain".
Great guy and great handmade grips from exotic wood.
Retired ~2019.
Believe my grips may have been some of the last he made...

Nice.
I've thought about an engraved gun.
Haven't yet scratched that itch...

My four revolvers are Pre-lock double action Smith & Wesson guns.
Someday I may need a sweet SA revolver like that as well...
This is my shiniest wheel gun -

I've got some fancy grips for it.
But like these for concealed carry.
Ironically I actually carried this six shooter earlier today - LOL!
The speed loaders are spring loaded JetLoaders
Guess it would work in a pinch for a BBQ gun?

And this could be my BBQ backup gun!

I have a real fondness for those tracker knives. Don't have one but always wanted one.

My son-in-law is an avid hunter and loves real stag stuff.
So for a wedding gift I got him one of these
It was well received - LOL!

Now that makes my britches stick way out in front. I'm a stag addict myself. PM me where you found that. I might just have to have one of them.

That looks like a 65 and a 640, my two favorites. My 686 is at S&W for some fixin', otherwise it would probably be my BBQ gun.

You have a good eye for detail.
65-3 3" Heavy Barrel and a 640-1 snubbie.
I like running medium velocity Winchester PDX1 125 gr 357 Mag in these guns.

That should provide a satisfying thump in the 65 without excessive fatigue. My 65-5 is 3" with the same grips. Great minds think alike. I've never tried .357 in my 640.
