I'm looking at magazines and find that they very in price from about $20 each to $9 each. The Mabpuls are about 14 each. Are the magpuls better than the cheaper plastic ones or should I just stick to the expensive metal ones, or just buy the cheapest I can find? I have thoughts of buying up to 10 of the 30 round mags. Do the Hululu mag loaders work well? I have one for pistols and I like it but there may be better products out there that I don't know about. Thought on this and anything else you might like to tell me about ARs. Thanks

Magpuls are great, that's all you need. And an Uplula is helpful for loading and unloading faster.

As John said magpul mags work well. If you watch palmetto state armory they offer package deals on 10 mags sometimes.

Yeah, 2nd generation Magpul 30 rounders go on sale occasionally for $8.99 each, maybe even a buck cheaper.

I have a friend whose AR doesn't like the magpuls. First AR I've ever encountered that didn't love them. I have 30 of the 30 rounders and 10 of another brand I don't recall that are rumored to be just as good. I got a couple 20's and 1 10rd which is nice for shooting off a bench.
I'd have no fear at all getting the Magpuls. Brownells almost always offers 10 packs and also 100 packs. When I worked at the PD I ordered the 100 pack. Got a picture of all 100 stacked up in a cabinet at my desk. What a beautiful picture that was.

Another vote for magpuls. You are a week late though. For Black Friday palmetto state armory had them for $7.50 with free shipping.

That is the cheapest price I’ve heard of so far.
Still have 10 of them leftover to use with the AR pistol
