Alex Murdaugh's five-week double murder trial

I'm guessing many have been following this murder trial Father kills both his son and wife. Allegedly shoots his son first with a shotgun then uses a AR on his wife whom was standing next to the son. or running away. My question is, has anyone seen on the media how he used two firearms of this size? Did he bring both a AR and a shotgun up to them or confront them with both? I cannot seem to find anything on it.

Yes, I know what weapons were used, but why would anyone take two weapons to shoot two people?

It was said by the live son that the brother used to leave firearms all over the place. In a truck, golf cart, garage, just out in a tree, etc. Supposedly, he never put firearms back in the same place twice. He seemed a bit perturbed when testifying about it. Do we have a father possibly taking a hit for the son? I didn't hear where he was when all this was happening.
