Same thing is in the works in East Cali...formerly known as Colorado. I really need to move out of here.

Criminals love gun bans. And Communist held territories love Criminals. Antifa is drooling at the Mouth for the next take over of a city. One day the Commie's will have hell to pay. And as Stonewall Jackson said so well when asked "Lord what shall we do" answer below.

There was an informal poll on komo.com which is one of the primary Seattle TV stations and news websites. It is a decidedly left leaning station and publication.
Single question, "Do you think Washington State needs more gun laws?". At the time there were 2600 responses. 93% No, 7% Yes.

Politicians are no longer representing the people that are electing them into office.

Politicians haven't for quite awhile. The DFL have an agenda nationwide. The rinos don't care as long as they get re-elected. The rinos will give a lot of tuff talk lip service with NO RESULTS. We are witnessing the modern fall of the ROMAN EMPIRE.

I've been saying this for a while now.

Looks like we're going to have to live with. Not only does it address "assault weapons" but also many semi-auto pistols, if they have certain characteristics such as a threaded barrel, or a covered barrel (heat shield). Because you know, criminals like to use a Taurus TX22 or Ruger MK IV and the like to take down large groups of people. This is going back to the house now because the senate added an amendment, which the house will pass. It will then hit the governor's desk and because it is classified as an "emergency" bill it will become effective as soon as he signs it. And of course at that point in time Washington will become a much safer place because criminals have been put on notice and will have to follow it. Therefore we'll never see another criminal commit murder or mayhem in our gun free, or non-gun free zones. I may have heard on good authority that steak knives will be next.

To add insult to injury HB1143 also passed both houses, so after it is signed by the governor it will become effective 1/1/24, after which we'll have to have a "state-recognized" safety certificate, a permit to purchase, and wait a minimum of 10 days before we can buy either of those two .22LR pea shooters, as well as any other firearm.

I would like to see a new Bill proposing that in the event that any Passed Bill is later overturned due to it being unconstitutional the political Party of the representative or senator who introduced it will be responsible for all legal fees that the State or Federal government incurred in defending it, rather than having the taxpayers foot the bill to overturn things that cannot stand on their own merit.

Good news is it will be thrown out in court, and won't stand. The bad news is, it'll be a year or so before that happens.

Republicans will probably lose SCOTUS within the next 4 to 8 years, so it's a moot point anyway.
