E9 vs K9 spare parts

So, the E9 preceded the P9, and was a slightly cheaper version of the K9. All metal, with a little less refinement. Sights similar to a CW9, but still had octagon barrel, and tool steel slide stop. Does anyone know if the internal parts are interchangeable? Grips?

If you go to say Numerich's on the interweb, and look up E9 Kahr parts, you'll see that parts do fit both models.
