3 months ago this video about a new Kahr double stack 9mm was all over the Internet gun boards.
I had the impression it would be revealed at the NRA convention exhibitions.
Nothing so far this weekend?

If it was going to be reveled at the NRA show they would have advertised it to bring in People to the booth and start the marketing. Here is what the firearm/Kahr guy said when asked.

"Possibly around 6 months I guess"
Personally I think it was dumb to say anything unless he had a date. Does not make sense. It would hold off sales of the present Kahr firearms. Waiting would just frustrate fan boys. (lol which it obviously has). I would wager the next Shot show if it is even going to actually happen. Just my $1.00 now worth 2 cents.)

Seems most manufacturers play up new products long before they hit the street. The Springfield SA35 (Browning Clone) is a good example. I wanted one from the get go. I've yet to see one in person around these parts. Had one on order thru a shop for well over 6 months, maybe longer. They haven't seen or even heard a possible delivery date.
I know it always takes awhile for supply to catch up with demand and the East coast generally gets stuff long before the west.
That and the incredible price gouging online. Asking 3 or 4 times the MSRP. And many paid it. Sad thing is I'm no longer nearly as excited about getting one. If they called I'm not sure I'd even grab it. The slush funds be depleted so to speak.

He was the only one to even mention it. I could be wrong but I don't believe Kahr, any other out of seemingly hundreds of online influencers in the firearm community, or ant firearm publications have mentioned a thing about it. It might not even exist. I don't believe that the TheFirearmGuy even reviled his source.
Maybe TheFirearmGuy told a little white lie to get views and to show Kahr that there was interest? Maybe he was told some bad info from a bad source? IDK.
That does not sound like him. He's always come across as a squared up guy imo.

True. I'm leaning towards he got bad info or maybe it was on the table but was scrapped by Kahr. Ruger, S&W, Taurus, Canik, Kimber, Sig, Springfield, HK, FN, Kel Tec, Mossberg, and there is probably one or two that I'm missing. Glock is in the running with the Shield Arms mags. Kahr better hurry up.
Heck even Palleto State Armory is about to release one. Mossberg is a freaking rifle company and PSA is know for AR15s and rifles. Kahr's bread and butter is the small conceal carry market. How are even rifle and 1911 companies beating them to the punch?
I really think they need new management and ownership. They have a great product, but the current owner is running the company into non relevance and existence. It's sad to see. It's not me "hating" or wishing they'll fail but rather me hoping for change so that they will still be around in the future. Right now they're a one trick pony.

Everyone has their opinion and you clarified that such is the case.
We're a pretty laid back forum and allow a lot of stuff that others do not. However, we're pretty protective of Kahr management, employees and forum administrators. You didn't cross this line but this thread has stepped right up to the line a few times.
Personally I seriously doubt that the owner has any intention to run the company into non relevance, since he designed the first Kahrs and created the company. Now that he also has several other brands it's hard to tell what the overall plan might be and again we can only speculate.
I've heard that he also sometimes works in the Kahr retail shop, Tommy gun Warehouse etc. So I'm pretty sure he's still a hands-on kind of guy which has to be a good thing.

Nice. Brings me a lot of memories of My LC9S. Loved the slim design. The only gun I have traded off. A lot of rounds through it and the trigger had become way to light for my Personal taste. Wish now I had kept it. It did have the thumb safety which I liked. Even gave away about 8 mags. DUMB! Owned the original LC9 with the long trigger, but gave that to my brother who shot it for years. Never shot the Max. Appears Ruger did well with keeping the width slim.

Back to the Kahr “surprise that disappeared”:
I’m wondering if it is possible that Mr. Moon was going to introduce a Kahr double stack .30 Super Carry with a whole lot of capacity in a CW9/P9 platform?
And maybe it has been delayed because of technical problems or the shooting public’s seeming lack of interest in the new cartridge?
Or both?

Yeah, but one that holds at least 12 rounds and is only an inch thick. We know what we want.
We? I already have what I want. But I am just a small little fish that swims in some murky pond.
To make the perfect gun and to be the top seller will have to appeal to the top selling buyers, the Tech Crowd. What is the average age of the buyer in 2023? I believe it is something like 30-35, I will look it up. The Red Dot is the new thing. These guy's have figured out a new market, one that will continue to have many new innovations, they smell the money and will always build a better gadget. The Red Dot will go the way of the Cell phone. Lot of cost, and upgrade often. Might think about investing into that stock.
Personally I think simple guns, and small guns are on the way out. No one is even thinking about a new Pocket gun. If it does not have a Red Dot it is not going to sell. Taurus even has tried to put one on a Snub nose. It is a strange strange world Master Jack.
Suppose you were someone that did not even care about guns, but just someone that wanted to make a whole lot of money. You look at trends, style, etc. What would you think would be the design of the gun that will make the most cash from the masses in the coming future? How will the Red Dot improve? Will lasers make a return? Heat seeking Red Dot or laser? Cost of ownership, ammo etc. Do people really want to actually train and practice? How much more of Bidenomics continue before a crash?
Civil unrest is just in the infant stages. Homelessness and crime are growing at a rampant pace along with the new Drug Market while the war against the 2A will never go away.
So many things to think about.
By the way, Look at probably the most popular EDC gun that hit the market and how things have changed, the time line of the product from the first Sig 365. What will be next?

The reason I posted was because yesterday, I took the Beretta Pico to the indoor range. Set up a target at 7 yds and right away blasted 6 rounds into the head. Easy Peesy. I mean nothing to it. There is no recoil to speak of, the trigger was no issue. Just simply pointed the gun and quickly pulled the trigger 6 times. About as Simple as you can get.
On the way home, I was thinking about all the comments John Q. Public have whined about over the years. Horrible recoil, heavy trigger, Long trigger, hard to shoot, no ret dot etc. No JOHN, it is just that you never wanted to train diligently with one, (same with the Kahr etc.) God Forbid they actually had to use a DAO.
The Pico is gone. Goodby Pico, hello Big Ass Cheetah in 380. No thank you Beretta, I will stick with the Pico. I saw it all coming and bought 3 of them. I have 2 Kahr CM9s, two P380's. I am good. The rest of the world can figure out what they want or have to have.

Yea, I would love to see that since I love the design. And for sure would buy a Bersa 380 over a Cheetah. The cost of the Cheetah which is a insane $750. I have been a big fan of the 380. but only for the small concealed carry guns. We now see those that would put the cartridge down, now bragging about the cartridge in Cheetah. Same Youtube reviewers that Put down the Kahr/Beretta DAO trigger now bragging about the DA trigger on the Cheetah. Lol, hypocrites. Grabagun has had some good deals lately. I saw some on CZ’s too.
When I was at the gun show recently one of the dealers I talk to all the time was telling me they’re seeing a slowdown in buying by some consumers. People who usually buy less expensive guns ($400 and less) aren’t buying like before because inflation is starting to have a real impact on them. The folks who usually buy $600 plus guns are still buying like normal. He was telling me that recently where he would usually sell 10+ Taurus pistols on a Saturday, now he has only been selling 2 or 3. He was saying his budget customers are telling him rent, mortgages, and food are taking their budgets these days. Of course that leaves some good deals for us.

I happened to check the Kahr website and they seem to have dropped several models. All the cerakote slides are gone except burnt bronze in the CW9. Under "S Series" it says there are no models at this time. You can get a P9-2 or TP9-2 with rail, front serrations, and night sights. There is no MK40 or K40. And no T9.
So they have the P9, P40, P45, P380. TP9-2, PM9, PM40, PM45. CM9 and CM45. CW9, CW380, CW45. CT9, CT380, CT45. K9, MK9. Many of those have sub-variants with different sights or polishing on the all stainless guns.
It's a plentiful lineup, and they're not the first to de-clutter their catalog.

I received a email today from Trijicon, about the all new technology of their new Red Dot. As I have said before, I think this is where you are going to see the money makers really hit the band wagon. I believe you are going to see these electronic makers upgrade and upgrade their product. It is the nature of electronics, what is new today is obsolete tomorrow. The power of reoccurring revenue. Taurus just released a new GX4, with a longer GRIP one that will hold 15-17 rds. Lol, where is this going to end?
I was at the range a few days ago and some guy had a DRUM attached to a Pistol (I guess a Glock) and was running through more ammo than I do in a month (and I spend a lot). Funny thing is, the guy would barely the target.
