Full Disclosure: I put easily over 1K Magnums out of this gun.
Had to have the cylinder tightened by a gunsmith.
All the screws had to have Locktite because the gun would disassemble itself at the range!
But this thing is a Thoroughbred and had to be put out to pasture :)
Mostly 44 Specials these days.
But I still have to light off a Magnum now and then - LOL!

I totally love Wilson Combat.
Don't own any (rented a few).
Maybe some day... :)

Blessed with a very early Wilson.

A friends Trapdoor Springfield. Mine isn't near so pretty.

I find the Sig 210 very pretty, and being an excellent shooter is a plus.

I think this is my best looking pistol, but I do shoot it.

While I understand the concept of not wanting to shoot a gun that is labeled "too pretty to shoot", I also understand the temptation there is to shoot it. It sits there and wants you to shoot it but you fear that it somehow will do something to the gun. Fortunately for me, I am not faced with this problem. If it's in my safe, it will get shot!
Good Luck!

Some I buy just as an investment. Not that I'll ever see the profit, but my son just might.

That first Kimber with the engraving just sings to me. Very nice. I would have to carry and shoot that one just to show it off.

I buy HIGH and sell LOW; I am able to move a lot of stuff that way!:yo:

Very nice guns guys! Wish I had one of all the one’s you’ve all posted. I have a few pretty one’s, but can’t resist shooting them all, at least a little here and there. ;)
But, these are the ones I shoot the least...

My son has that bobtailed Smith. Been trying to talk him out of it for years with zero success. It's not the softest shooting but it's nice and light and figure I carry it more than shoot it.

You might just own this one one day. I get a hankering for new stuff and sometimes have to let stuff go to be able to swing it. I have a loving wife, but lately I've heard "you have enough" more times than I used to hear from her. 😔

Byrd did you polish that .40? It sure looks nice. Who made that one?

Those Scandium Smiths are definitely gorgeous. Stately is the word that always comes to mind when I see one.

Hey dao, that polished one in the pic is the Springfield “CCO”. Thank you for the accolades my friend, I own no full customs, such as the AMAZING full custom Wilsons posted prior to my pics (drool, drool, and more drool) so that one and my project STI are the the more costly of the batch. While I’ve always preferred a decent quality quantity over singular high quality, my wife does understand that the scrolled Ed Brown will be my retirement gift to my self.

As well it should be. I'm hoping to one day own an Ed Brown, Les Baer, Nighthawk, GI, or the like. Might have to win the lottery first since I'm already retired though.

Kind of funny. A gun too pretty to shoot but we don’t say that about a beautiful woman.

No guns too pretty to shoot, but I do have some wood that I've yet to put on a rifle (CZ452) because it's so pretty to me:

Dang, that is plumb pretty. Tiger Maple? And for a CZ452. That will be sweet. That's yet another gun I followed your lead on and one of my favorites. Wife also just loves to shoot that one.

Bawanna, CZ sold me this as a walnut stock. Curly?

Thanks yqtszhj:)

Bawanna

Well, we know for positive sure that isn't Walnut. Sure looks like Tiger Maple to me, never seen Curly with that grain definition but certainly could be. Most important it's gorgeous.

Recessed cylinder with likely a pinned barrel?
Don't have anything like that...

Even the plain old blued ones are too rich for my side of the tracks. Seldom see one even used for less than 1100 or more.

You guys have some real beauty. People do not understand why we love guns. And not just the shooting. The beauty and marvel of the engineering, the craftsmanship. Really a piece of Art.
Thanks for sharing. Don't own one, but sure nice to look at them.

That's actually a Uberti copy. Not even a real S&W Schofield.
I'm thinking the real thing would be even more expensive!

I don't know Barth, it says Smith and Wesson Springfield Mass on the barrel. It of course is a modern replica which I didn't know they make. I know I have a Black powder revolver from Colt that is modern day.

Your for sure right that an original would be worth way more than that one. Lots more.

I don't have any that I would consider pretty, but I do have one that I think is cute. A Freedom Arms 5 shot .22 revolver that takes some practice and knowledge to hit a target 10 feet away. Cute little thing, though.

Is defiantly an Italian Uberti copy.
The pic I posted is, I believe, a real S&W Schofield.
Have no idea the price of the real deal.
That's not in my area code... :)

Full Disclosure:
My most expensive handgun purchase was a real NIB Hk SP5K 9mm pistol.
Some of the first to reach U.S. soil on pre-order @ $2,499.
It's now a registered SBR.
I did run 500 German NEM, followed by 500 Winchester NATO and finished off with 200 Federal HST JHPs.
But it was cleaned and stored after that...
It's not shinny, but it's a tack driving wamma jamma :cool:https://i.imgur.com/CHFohPk.jpg
