I recently sent my 2009 built CW9 to Kahr to have new night sights installed. I did get the first generation of Trijicon sights installed in early 2010 when Kahr first announced them so they were already getting a bit on the old side for tritium to hold up much longer. I probably would have just let them slowly die and kept shooting it (same as I'm doing with a very early model Kimber Compact Stainless .... with dead night sights) but the front sight broke off while shooting. The forward pin apparently wasn't heat staked in place as it came along intact with the sight body, while the rear pin (hollow) was broken off right at the tip of the retaining screw. The screw and very short part of the post it screwed into stayed in the slide. I called Kahr to check on replacement sights and was informed they no longer used the Trijicon brand but instead used TruGlo sights. I had in mind the tritium ring around a fiber stick center, but tuned out to be almost identical to the Trij sights I've had for almost 13 years ... no complaints from me anyway. I decided to just send the slide to Kahr and have them do their magic. It came back last week and got a quick testing at the range, and even though the rear sight appeared to be perfectly centered in the dove tail it was shooting a good bit to the right. My buddy that was with me said he had, on loan, an Accucraft Sight Pusher Tool I could borrow, so today, a week later, I got the tool out of the box, tried to read the instructions (may have been a translation from some obvious non-English speaking person) and get a feel for it in my own air conditioned cave. I did push the sight a tiny bit to the left at home, then we took the CW9 and the pusher to the range. Just one more slight adjustment to the left got it back good enough for me to occasionally CCW. Ever since my 2016 unfortunate experience the standing unsupported shooting of both handguns and long guns has been a bit of a challenge, particularly when wanting to shoot small clusters of holes in the center of a circle on paper. In this case, sitting and shooting with arms rested on the bench, and using that fantastic Accucraft Sight Pusher gave me a renewed interest in the CW9. I returned the sight pusher, but I think I'll hang on to the CW9 :)
