Armybrat asked for a video, durned if I can find the thread so here it is in a new place.
Smashing success, I lived, didn't hurt too bad, and it worked perfectly without blowing up. Shot it about 6 times. Didn't try for accuracy. I set up a target about a 100 yards, got back to the shooting spot and ready to shoot and the target stand blew over. Chair was way way low on battery, so I just shot at a rock. Pretty happy.

Well shoot, can't find the video so I can attach it. I'll work on it. Time for feed bag and then hit the dock for a little hopefully trout catchin. Grandson caught one this morning all by his lonesome, he was so proud. Pictures of that later too.

Guess your target got skeered and went ahead and fell dead.

It is really satisfying to watch the grandkids learning new fun activities that we enjoyed. Circle of life and its continuance.

I've shot boxes and just plain rocks with my Zastava M77 and IWI Galil ACE 308 guns.
It's fun to watch stuff blow up - LOL!

Never actually sighted the guns in?
The iron sights, at close range, just work right out of the box
Proper muzzle brakes make recoil a non-issue for me...

Apparently the video is the wrong format, still haven't figured out how to make it post. I was so proud of myself making my own video. Figured I'd start a blog and maybe it would get a virus and millions of viewers an stuff. Alas not to be I reckon.

My Trapdoor has a busted firing pin, but I got a replacement from Dixie Gun Works about 20 years ago.
However, the retaining screw is thoroughly frozen and I was unable to remove it. Me being me, I just haven’t gotten around to taking it to a gunsmith to fix it. Still have the replacement bagged & labeled in my safe.
Guess I’d better get off my ample butt and take it in.

Mine was frozen in bad, it's a funky little very course thread and very short. I soaked it in Kroil for awhile, and finagled and eventually got it out. I replaced the firing pin also. Fella I got mine from had made a firing pin but it was frozen too. I got it loose but figured I'd be safe and get a new one.
Only thing I wanted but didn't get was a ramrod. They get way too much money for those. I just cut a piece of drill rod just for looks and will work if needed.
Gonna shoot it again today, hopefully at a target that don't fall over. Didn't blow up so now I need to see if it will hit anything.

Shot the Trapdoor again today. Actually hit a target at 100 yards. Shot high and no real pattern but it works, didn't blow up and I can still move my arm. Daughter and her friend actually shot it too. Put a leather case on their shoulder to avoid some of the punishment. Great range day.
The Tisas is a new favorite, love it to pieces.

Mine did not have a ramrod or the bayonet.
Dad found these originals somewhere, but I don’t recall his source.

Yours look in pretty decent shape, probably slightly better than mine. I'm real happy and tickled now that I've actually shot it. I'll work on making the video work. I was so proud of myself making it alone, gotta make it work.

It is rougher than it looks in the pic.

While awaiting the premiere of the Colonel's range documentary ;), speculation, as to content, runs wild:p:

Wow, look at all those trapdoors. It was a blast shooting the thing. I think I ended up shooting 16 rounds total. All the 405 grain stuff I had, need to get more. My daughter and her friend actually shot it too and the recoil didn't bother them a bit.
It's a big boom but it don't dislocate your shoulder if you hold it tight.
I gotta figure out that darn video.
