Really enjoy carrying my P9 so decided to add the smaller PM9. My thought was in a pocket holster it would be good for running to the store, mailbox etc. Found a decent price on one and ordered it. Hopefully I'll have it by next weekend.

I was thinking about another Kahr 9mm and then realized that 95% of the time I leave the house it is with a Kahr 380. It seems the trend IMO has moved away from the small 380 and 9mm to larger 380 and 9mm. The Sig 365 which was the most popular 9mm is moving to a larger capacity Sig 365 which in turn is larger. However, I have seen on other forums a kind of resurgence in the Kahr product. Others buying them. My LGS is even carrying them now. (The owner say's he is only getting a few in stock, but they sell quickly. Beretta does not now even have a 380 pocket gun, instead now selling the large Cheetah, Smith the large EZ. Things change so rapidly.
Congrats on the New PM9!

Nice! Please keep us updated on how it performs … and it never hurts to go through the recommend pre-firing break in.

Nice buy. I’ve moved back to my cm9 in the pocket much of the time now. Other than a micro 380, the cm9/pm9 works best for pocket carry for me.

King Rat makes some good observations. All of these high-capacity micro compacts are coming out with bigger versions. Then you load it up with all that ammo and the weight creeps up. I wish Blazer aluminum ammo was still available in 9mm hollow point. Even a single stack Kahr magazine loaded with Blazer aluminum is noticeably lighter than its brass cased counterpart.

With the 365, the new offerings are a logical extension of the original gun. If you like the ergonomics, trigger and manual of arms you now have options in terms of grip size and capacity.
My EDC is a 10 round P365-380, the smallest and lightest configuration, and my nightstand gun is an XL 9mm with 17 round magazines, not quite the largest grip module but it has the most capacity available.
With the modularity of the gun, you really only need one serialized fire control unit and you can have any configuration you want by employing different slides and grip modules.

Just put in a bid for a CT380. I am trying to cut down on my guns and even get rid of some, but I love the light weight 380.

I have 890 rounds through mine. Magguts plus 1 in the magazines. Occasionally the slide doesn’t lock back on the last round. It did that both before and after the Magguts. Other than that it’s been good. I replaced the striker with a Lakeline striker, just because.

Last one I saw in person was at a gun show last month and I think it was $340ish. If it’s still there at the show next weekend….. I may find myself having to sneak the box into the house.

I have not seen a CT380 in the flesh, looks like a cool little gun! Is it P380 thin?

Congratulations on your new gun. Both great choices for concealed carry to by the way. I've owned and carried both guns. Most recently the PM9,I think the P9 Nd PM9 are exceptional guns.thw only reason I sold my PM9 was to find the purchase of my current EDC a kahr PM45 which I love even more. I reasoned a bit the opposite of you in the face that the PM45 is only slightly longer in the grip and slide and barely wider than the PM9.
I find the PM45 no harder to conceal carry in the same spot as the P9 or PM9. I think kahr arms are great guns this my 8th one I've owned over the years. As a general rule the kahr arms offerings are smaller, lighter And thinner than other makers guns in the same calibers. They have a lower bore axis and a great trigger as well. I learned on double action revolvers and the 1911. So for me the kahr trigger is familiar with regards to the revolver triggers I've trained on. Please be sure to post pics and a range report when it arrives too.
