Oh my team of computer experts. I don't see the images in this thread. So....I tried looking on my phone and alas I can see the images. Where do I go on this crystal ball to change a setting or fix something so I can see them. I have one other forum where I can't see the pictures also. Hopefully the same fix will fix both. Fingers crossed.

Gillette had the girly man ad campaign, Schick has always been good to go. They used to make diamond edge blades that lasted me 2 or 3 months, then discontinued them. I wrote to them asking why, and they sent me their new version for free. Those las as long or longer, and I’ve been loyal to them ever since.

I gave up shaving, except around the edges every now and then, and 15 years ago I started just dry shaving the edges if required. A razor last me forever almost. Of course I look rough sometimes but that just makes people leave me alone which I kinda like.

Motorist got it - right in the wallet. That's a Diesel Exhaust Fluid station, and even if that's a diesel Hyundai (probably not), it's unlikely that the car's DEF filler is adjacent to the fuel filler. I.e. ruh roh, DEF in the fuel tank. Hope the motorist caught the boo-boo before cranking the engine.

Hey, my wife made me get rid of my muffin pan. It was rusty looking but worked for my cornbread muffins. I washed it by hand and then ran it through the dishwasher and the next day had to wipe the residual water and a little rust off to keep it from getting worse.
The next time I used it, I lubed it well before making my muffins. She nagged me until I finally got a new one.
I still have a few metal pans that look like that, or worse, but I usually line them with aluminum foil for actual cooking.

Funny you say that because I just gave away a box with my timing light, dwell meter, a hand made static light for the point sets in VW's and Porsche engines, and a vacuum carb synchronizer for British cars. The golf tee I used flor plugging the vacuum lines was still there. Wish I had taken a picture of all those memories.

Anyway, I once hit a pot hole that was so big and deep, when the bug bottomed out, the points closed on me. I used a match book cover to set them, and get me home. I believe they were around .015 thickness. Worked in a pinch. Set the timing by ear.

And that boys and girls is why they quit full service. I once had a plan to open stations with full service with ladies just like that pumping gas, checking oil, washing windows, the whole deal. Have to charge more of course but I think people would flock to my stations. Derelicts like me or folks that just don't want to deal with it. Don't have to get out of the car.
Even full service without this lovely lady type would work.

Your incident reminded me of some good times… Had a childhood buddy come into town some years back, driving an old beat up Chevette that he said was basically free and did not care what happened to it. There’s a road near by that comes down a little hill and as it crosses another street there’s first a little dip, then kind of a ramp. I’d sit on the little cross street, to make sure no cars were coming, and so I could watch him when it was his turn. That little car got so high that all four wheels would drop out from under it for a second and really hang way below the car. Massive amount of sparks on landing. One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen! We kept doing it (even some of the people in the street came out and watched) until the oil pan had enough.

We had one of those here until last year. It was named “Bay Wash”. I had to give it a go at least once. I stayed inside, hoping they would use their chesticles to scrub the windows, like in the movies, but it didn’t go down that way. Also, when I was in the vicinity one day I parked across from there to eat my lunch for the view. I was not the only one with a perv mind though as a couple other dudes pulled in and parked to watch too. I bet that was a common occurrence there.

I was sitting at a long stop light yesterday, minding my own business and patiently waiting for it to turn green, even though there was no oncoming traffic.

A carload of bearded, young and very loud Muslims, shouting Anti-American slogans, with a half-burned American Flag duct-taped on the trunk of their car, and a "Remember 9-11" slogan spray painted on the side, was stopped next to me.

Suddenly they yelled, "Allah Akbar! Praise Allah! "Death to America!" and took off before the light changed.

Out of nowhere an 18-wheeler came speeding through the intersection and ran directly over their car, crushing it completely and killing everyone in it.

For several minutes I sat in my car thinking to myself, "Man....that could have been me!"

So today, bright and early, I went out and got a job as a truck driver.
