Plumb cold in these parts but no white stuff yet. My pellet stove in the shop is working it's little heart out and still not warm as I'd like. Might have to run it all night so it keeps up. Can't handle the cold much these days.

Cool and wet in the sunshine state. We’re procrastinating on the Christmas decorations.

Month away, what you talkin about procrastinating? Stupid stores (haven't been in one in probably 5 years but wife said day after Halloween Christmas stuff was out.
We haven't even dug out the decoration stuff and hope she holds off for another couple weeks.

Our tradition is to do it on T-Giving weekend. Wait too long, and it’s too much last minute panic.

I envy you your nice warm shop Colonel. I'd probably spend a lot more time in my garage if it was heated.

That's the way it worked for me. Didn't spend much time out there come winter. Now I don't get to spend enough time in my man cave. Go figure.
My pellet stove knocks the edge off when it's near freezing out, but not toasty. In the afternoon after running all day it might get up a shade above 60 but that's good enough.
This is the first year I actually had the shop wired too. Before everything was on extension cords from the house. Hated running over cords going back and forth. Pretty happy now until the next thing that ticks me off comes along.

We've had 6 or 7 snow falls so far. Not much, 5-6 inches at the most. Sunshine and melting the next day except this last one. Only a couple of inches but the hi temps during and after never made it into the 20's, lows in single digits. Finally got sunshine todays and reached the mid 20's with a lit bit of melting. The good news is my wife shot her buck yesterday morning. Bad news is it would have been frozen solid if I let it hang over night, so it has been in the camper with the heat on at about 45 degrees. I might just leave it in there until we process it as daytime temps are supposed to get into the 50's this week.

Great start to the winter says I!

The snow in Wisconsin is much later the past decade. When I started deer hunting 35-40 years ago we would have 3-6 inches of snow on the ground for opening day. The lake at camp would be frozen thick enough to walk on. Now we get skim ice that melts during the day and no snow. Climate change is real. If mankind died out today it would still continue. We did not cause all of it and we cannot stop it.

It’s supposed to rain pretty hard all day tomorrow here in Atlanta with temperatures in the high 50’s so the State DOT has the brine trucks loaded and ready to go at a moments notice……Winters are weird here…………
