I agree. If the price is right, many will be tempted to buy one for no other reason than they already have a bunch of magazines that fit it. I don't believe anyone has thought about this yet, but if it accepts Hellcat and P365 magazines, maybe it has Hellcat and P365 grip dimensions. I own a few true traditional double stacks (Glocks, M&Ps, XD's, HKs, etc), and this new Kahr seems to be smaller and thinner. I'm not sure why Kahr would blunder by marketing it as a double stack when it's more in line and comparable to other micro pistols on the market.
I agree. I’ll be tempted. I definitely want to handle one. CM9 was my first concealed carry so I have a soft spot in my heart for Kahr. I certainly don’t need another micro but since when does that matter?

One reason I bought the Taurus GX4 was because of the grip. It fits my hand perfectly with the larger back strap. Here is a comparison with the Sig 365. (GX4 standard/Smaller back strap shown)

I haven’t handled a GX4 but the larger backstrap at the bottom of the grip looks like it’ll do a nice job of forcing your hand up to get a nice high grip under the beaver tail.

Love/no love for the 365? I got to play with one at my FFL/dealer. I probably wouldn't own one, but I thought that the grip fit my hand very well.
Grip likes and dislikes are very personal. While I like the grip on the 365, the 10 round mag is too short. I use a 12 round mag with a Tactical Development sleeve that keeps the grip very slim.

No one has even brought up the most important question, will California get them? Everyone is having fun but us. I guess I have to call Kahr to find out. I own p9 that is Ca compliant. I love the p9 but I hate that everyone else has at least a 10 round mag except Kahr. I mean they do but are atrocious. I will definitely consider this if I can get it. I would not put an optic on it. Give me a 10 rd mag for Cali and a 15 more the AZ. Also, I am going to assume I can rack the slide whenever I want.

I had a 365xl for a year or so and shot it quite a bit. I sold it because I couldn't shoot it as well as my Kahrs and it didn't conceal any easier. The trigger is good, but not that good. For me, the grip is maybe a little too small for good control. Impressive little pistol otherwise.

I doubt it. I don't believe newer firearms can be added to the CA roster correct?

As I understand it, the micro-stamping requirement was relaxed, so there's new pistols trickling onto the roster. I found that out because our only name-brand 22lr pistol for a long time was the Browning Buckmark, but Ruger got the MKIV onto the roster last year, so I picked one up. Love it. And they added the 22/45 this year.

I grew up in Komifornia, but moved away as an adult never to return.
My understanding is that the population (of Komifornia) continues to shrink and others flee.
Since my parents have thankfully moved to Arizona.
I've got no reason to even visit and try to never cross the border if possible.

A lot of conservatives or just common sense people moved and keep moving but what we need is them to return and help fight the fight. California has become a testing ground to take people's rights and raise taxes.

Donating to pro gun organizations who will fight in court, and voting in national elections for representatives in Congress who will nominate progun federal judges helps California gun owners. If people start leaving red states in enough numbers to make a difference in California, the states they left would be in jeopardy of going blue IMHO.

Sadly the population of California shrinks and they move to other states and try to screw them up like the state they left. Oregon and Washington are good examples. The couple times I've travelled to Reno to visit a friend I've traveled so I had to just cut the top corner of California. I did go to San Diego to watch my son graduate from Marine boot camp at MCRD but hopefully that was the last trip. I do feel sorry for the sane people who live there, members here etc. They are terribly outnumbered and suffer because of it. Starting to relate to that up here too. There's talk (only talk) of Idaho annexing Eastern Washington. If that happened you'd be able track my tire tracks so fast your head would spin.

The great thing about the P365 is that it's modular, so you can get different grips. What you see isn't what you're stuck with. Wilson Combat offers a grip module that lots of people with larger hands perfer.

I put a Wilson grip module on mine and like it so much better. I also added the safety which was easy as pie. Didn't order he safety grip module, just filed the notch myself. I just feel better with the safety, and it's close to natural like a 1911 so no issue transitioning between the two.

Yep. I thought of doing that instead of selling the 365, but since I wasn't really fond of the trigger either it just didn't make sense to me. Especially since I found the Shield Plus to be more to my liking on both counts.

Yes that would not be good but that is what happened and continues to happen in CA. I only commented what I did because people say just leave to a free State but I don't think that is the answer. The gun roster is being challenged, "high capacity" mags are being challenged, the ammo background checks just got a temporary victory. CA still got right but not if we all leave.

Oh, why no, no, no, fearless Governor Newsom (the man who would be king) insists that under his stewardship, the California population is prospering and growing.
He fails to mention that the growth is likely comprised of "homeless" addicts and illegal alien "immigrants" pouring in for all the "freebies".
*sigh* Arizona, eh?

Arizona is turning blue because of all the CA rejects. Not sure that is a good state for gun owners to grow new roots unless they have it in them to fight knowing they might very well lose their rights.

Pretty much the same I hear about Texas and I know it's true in Oregon and here in Washington as well. We were pretty blue already and now even bluer. We're like two states. Eastern Washington is red as can be but mostly rural so they get beat constantly on any vote.

I don't do well in cold weather either.
Was set on retiring in Florida.
Lived in the Tampa area for +20 years.
Perpetual summer most of the time.
Rarely gets cold at all and it doesn't last :D
But with my daughters and grandkids in Oregon.
And my favorite child not wanting me that far away.
Plus my parents recently moved from Komifornia to Arizona to be near me.
So it's looking like Arizona will be my home.
I've been living in North Phoenix, very near Scottsdale, for the last 9 years.
It's never dropped below freezing in that time.
With lots of sun and mostly mild weather.
The summers are Furnace Hot.
But you just stay in the air conditioning and it's fine.
Did I mention this place is a "Constitutional Carry" state? :Amflag2:

AZ state tax isn't bad, plus property tax & car registration is low as well.
Property, housing and cost of living is reasonable too.
Truly not a bad place to retire.
In Phoenix there are no wildfires, floods, mudslides, earthquakes, snowstorms, hurricanes, tornados ...
What they call severe weather here is laughable :p
I'm sure out in the desert outside of town there are plenty of scorpions, snakes and other wildlife.
But in the city all I get are mostly hummingbirds :)
Growing up in the Mojave desert, which extends from Komifornia all the way up through Las Vegas NV,
I always thought of the desert as dry, brown, sandy and barren.
Many westerns were shot in the desert outside of LA.
But the Sonoran Desert is much greener and prettier too me :D

In my neck of South Carolina, it's becoming too crowded. My little town has tripled in size in the last 15 years.
Read somewhere, that the destination for retirees is Florida, Arizona, South Carolina, North Carolina in that order. I'm sticking around until my Mom passes, then I'm leaning towards Tennessee (Somewhere just north of Chattanooga).
Did a six month contract job over there about 8 years ago. Not as crowded, once you get out of town. Gun friendly, no income tax, but sales tax is near 10%, property taxes for an average home are 12-1500 per year. (Not in Town, in town double that). Of course, I checked out all the local gun stores in the area. One thing that was different for me, was they charge for a background check, when you buy a pistol. If you are doing an out of state FFL transfer, there are two fees, one for the background check, and one for the transfer. I don't know if that is a state thing, or just a local thing. For instance, transfer a pistol via the internet. $15 for the background check, then if you pass, $15 for the transfer. This way if you don't pass, they still get paid for the time. I was told if you have conceal carry permit, they waive the background fee.
Like I mentioned, the sales tax is high, one governor mentioned adding an income tax, BAM, he was gone.
The Georgia border is just south of Chattanooga, the first exit in Georgia, has Bass Pro Shop, and a Costco.
Bawanna

Those transfers really ain't that bad. Here for an internet transfer they get anywhere from 25 to 50 for the transfer/background check, that's determined by the FFL. Now the state is adding an 18 dollar fee for the state check. They also made it a requirement to take a firearms safety class. You do it online, takes 5 minutes. No questions, just read the common sense BS and print out the certificate. Total waste of time.
We used to be able to do an instant check and pickup a gun at time of purchase with a permit. I miss those days.
No more AR's for us, 10 round mag limits, and any semi auto requires a check like a handgun. Actually now all firearms have a mandatory 10 day waiting period. Might just meet ya in Tennessee.

Who knows, might just buy my brother out, and move into my mom's house. 1950's ranch, 3 brm, 1 bath. 1/2 mile to the nearest neighbor. But... you are in the middle of nowhere. Nearest Lowes is 30 miles, 20 miles to Walmart. There is a Piggly Wiggly about 6 miles away. Finding contractors to do work, around the house is a challenge. But..SC is gun friendly too. Transfer fees around me are anywhere from 20-35 dollars, depending on the dealer.

Then this half million square foot industrial distribution facility of the 50;acres right next door.

Before the wifey and I ended up where we're at, we seriously thought about where we wanted to live. I thought of a few states that could be ok, so did the wifey, and we decided to stay in our home state. For the taxes we pay, and the services we get, along with our nice roads, I can't complain. Overall, I think it's a well-run state, and they seem to be able to keep enough conservatives in the Legislature to keep a rein on liberal agendas. We have a large contingent of hunters, excellent fishing, and winter sports. We have legal open carry and conceal carry, no waiting periods on firearm purchases, no mag limits. Our transfers are between $30-50 with $13 going to the state.......... In my county, I pay less property tax for a larger home with land than I did in the city with a smaller home and no land. There aren't too many contingencies in my area, so shooting isn't an issue. I hear shooting every day at some point or another. A very well armed county. The weather here this year has been better overall than many of the "warm" states. Many of those "warm" states are going to be shopping for water in the near future, when they run their wells/rivers/lakes dry. I'm surrounded by water and the state has plenty of it. Also, with our current border issue, I like being far away from the madness. So far, my state isn't going into debt supporting people who are here illegally.

You get used to it. Once every 6 weeks, we drive an hour and a half to Woodmans and stock up on groceries. Cheaper than going to the local grocery which is still a half hour drive. Walmart is 20 minutes. Hardware store is 20 minutes. Many FFL's in the area. 5-gun shops withing 45 minutes. Cabela's would be an hour. Costco would be an hour. It's all worth the peace and quiet.
