Man I bet it would. If I had one and could set it just to take off the outer coatings, anodized layer, scratches and casting marks… man oh man! I could knock out projects left and right. Not sure how smooth the surface is after they blast one with the laser though. May ge able to go straight to the polishing wheels with it.

I looked them up. Some of the “decent” one’s start around 9, but by the time you add in everything else you need, you are spot on with your guestimate.

Yes, these laser installations cost a fortune. Although, of course, they are worth it, at least to run a polishing business :)

To be honest, it was nice just to watch this video. It's really exciting. And the sound of the process itself is incredibly pleasant. Just like ASMR of some kind
