Just curious, has anyone ever tried applying wax to the black DLC on a Kahr? I'm not looking for shiny really, but something close to satin would be nice. And possible less friction in drawing and holstering. I'm also curious about the result of applying Rennaissance Wax on a gun. Anyone used that?

I've been using the Renaissance wax for a few years. I mainly use it for protection against rust/pitting when I found some on my revolver after carrying it in hot weather. A little bit goes a long way. I've also applied it to a couple other firearms. It didn't change the color or feel. It works well/best on firearms that are stored and not shot often. Puts a nice thin protective coating on your firearm and also repels dust/moisture. I've never put any on any internal parts or on any slide rails although I don't think it would hurt anything, just kind of unnecessary. It is a petroleum-based wax and does smell like it. Museums use it and supposedly have used it on valuable paintings without issue. It's worked well on my revolver, and my stored firearms stay protected and somehow look cleaner when I take them out. I can't say what will happen on your kahr finish, but I don't think it will hurt anything I guess it may/could change either the color or look, but from what I've seen, it will just give your firearms some good protection. Their website will give more details.

Thanks bone. I guess it's not what I'm looking for.
