I was on another thread on here talking about the miserable checkering on the Kahrs and grips to put over it. I got bored and decided to gut some black 550 cord and make a wrap on my P380. I thought it turned out ok, probably going to redo it at some point, but it's good enough for the moment.

The tie on the left side just sits on my fingertips (I have fairly small hands) so it doesn't really get in the way.

Not bad at all. Looks kind of nice actually. You think it'll stay in place or want to coil off the bottom? Para cord pretty much stays the same, don't shrink or stretch much. Maybe a drop or two of silicone on the bottom coil would insure some stability.
Is the grip still solid and not too slippery?

well it's wrapped extremely tight. I started the wrap at the bottom of the checkering to give it something to grip and the tie pulls up on the bottom a little bit, I'll see how it goes but I'm planning on redoing it to make that tie flat, this was just a quick job

Yeah, the left side looks solid and the tie looks cool. If you had that same thing on the right side it would almost be like a palm swell and hold all the coils together too. Maybe.
I think your onto something though. I'd like to invest and get in on the ground floor if it's not too late.
I never invested before so this is a new thing for me.

haha, you'll be the first one with stock options :wof:

I guess you could do that, but I don't really need a palm swell on this particular gun.

That X-treme (silicone) Tape by MOCAP should work well. I just found it in the Commissary for under $6... 1" x 10 '. I paid $10 for that at the West Marine Store.
I used that roll to repair my 24-year-old vacuum cleaner hose... beats the heck out of duct tape.
Wynn:)

The Attachment Manager is still reducing the correctly sized images to a smaller size... almost 1/10th normal... kinda hard to see the print. I sized them to 640x480 and cropped them to below 90KB and they are being reduced to around 10KB or less in some instances... the malware thing???

I like it, looks cleaner. We can call that our tactical model and get 45% more for the same string.

haha, yes we could. Don't know if I could sell any of my paracord creations though, I take too much pride in my work. So far I've made a couple of key chains, a watchband, a sling for a shotgun, a holster for a 1911, a small cinch bag and I'm getting ready to make a bracelet for everyday wear. Gives me something to do and as my cousin put it, "this is what happens when men knit"

Funny and good job.

Would love to see a pic of the shotgun sling....I need a sling for my Marlin model 60 .22 and since I like "doing it myself" maybe I could make something similar.

I'm curious to see both the sling and the holster. Creativity and necessity are great co-creators.

The sling's about 45 1/2" long and about 2" wide. Sorry the pics of the holster are so bad, they were taken a while back. And i'm going to put a strap on the back of it so I can attach it to a MOLLE system.
