They’re all over the internet at the moment, all around the same price. Here’s the Bud’s listing:

https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/712026317/kahr+pm9+9mm+3+robbin+egg+blue+stainless+steel+2+6 +round+1+7rd

Any idea what the story is with these? Are they old stock? New production?

Product code is: PM9093CABBEL

I’d say maybe they’re an overrun from Cabelas’s… but there’s only one B in Cabelas…

Maybe the ladies might like one, but I’d prefer a CT9 for $256….

Oh, nice! I mean… I’d say I don’t give a crap about the color… but the blue is kinda neat. Plus, if I get a Kahr….

I want me some Lothar Walther polygonal goodness…

I like it as well. Actually turquoises seems to be popular out west. I believe the Navajo Tribe makes a lot of the Jewelry. I remember seeing a lot of Bolo ties etc. Here is my Pico.

I asked my dog Lilly what she thought and she said she loved it.

Lily has impeccable taste and a timeless sense of style. If it’s good enough for her… it’s good enough for me.

But yeah… objectively I like the color; it means a lot more than just “Tiffany.”

Wow, great price, and the color offends me zero at all.
PM 9's my everyday carry, so I'd buy a spare in a heartbeat at that price, but it's not on the California roster :(

I would call that Belair Blue, (probably licensed).
Anyway, great price, I paid almost the same price for a used one.

My willpower faltered... I bought one.

Best price I found was at Dahlonega Armory: $311 + shipping. That's pretty insane for a brand new PM9.

After some digging, I'm inclined to think these are new old stock from around 2014: https://www.auto-ordnance.com/kahr-firearms-group-partners-with-cabelas-on-two-new-custom-offerings/

Apparently, Cabela's special ordered a bunch of blue-framed PM9s around then. Maybe they got lost in the shuffle during the Cabela's + Bass Pro merger? Or maybe they just didn't sell? Who knows. But I DO know that I got a new PM9 dirt cheap. So that's good.

I'll update when I get it.

If anyone asks, you can always argue that you won it in the divorce.

In 40 years of carrying concealed noboby has seen one of my guns while I'm carrying it. I'd be happy with the price, the color would be inconsequential to me. I'd say you got a pretty darn good deal. But the divorce answer works too :D

Haha.

Thanks, guys. It would make an excellent purse gun. You know… if I carried purses. As far as the color, I’m somewhere between “ambivalent” and “it’s actually kinda cool.” I dunno… it’s different. Works for me.

In one of those press releases from when these came out 10 years ago, it intimated that the polymer itself was actually blue… not cerakoted. If that’s true, I suppose that’s a benefit. Probably will wear better. You know, when I’m dragging my Tiffany blue gun through the trenches, swamps and clandestine war zones. And outlet malls.

Interesting they or someone held them for 10 years.

Interesting they or someone held them for 10 years. If someone held you for 10 years, you'd be blue too...............

Haha. I hope to cheer the little gun up—with rounds and pocket holsters.

Thats my best theory, anyway, on the backstory. I doubt they’re “freshly minted,” at that price.

They are definitely from some sort of 2014 Cabalas fiasco.

I got it n’ shot it.

Here’s a short I posted in my YouTube channel:

https://m.youtube.com/shorts/deMRcQhy9T0

As far as first impressions… the gun feels like a little tank. Very solid and dense. I’ve owned a K9, and this little sucker feels (maybe?) a bit a tighter and more precise in terms of build.

I’ll also say the trigger feels more “double action-y” than what I experienced on the K9–it feels longer and heavier. Which I like, in a safety-less carry gun. My groups weren’t as tight with this as the K9 I had… but that’s to be expected I suppose. Though I will say I’d cloverleaf a few… then throw a few off to the right. Especially as I put more rounds through it. Hands got a little tired managing this little bronco. But considering its size… recoil ain’t too bad.

I put about 150 rounds through it. No issues at all. Ran like a sewing machine. Before firing, I racked the slide maybe 50 times, cleaned and lubed. Good to go.

Nice little “bougie blaster.”
