A friend had a .380 of theirs, a jam-o-matic. Sent it back twice, but they eventually fixed it. That was several years ago, not sure how today's offerings stand up.

It's a good looking revolver. Not sure I need one myself but would like to have one anyhow. That never seems to change.

I would like to handle one before I jump on it.
But, I already have several 5 shot J frame sized revolvers.
Don't really need another, but I don't have currently have one in .357 or six shots.
Always liked the Kimber's but could not convince myself that I needed one.

I bought a LCR in .357 once, guy who sold it could not handle the recoil. I wrote him off as a pansy. Then I tried it, traded it for a GEN3 Glock-19.
One time when I was about 10-11, a firecracker exploded in my hand while I was getting ready to throw it.
Shooting that light weight .357 felt the same way. Maybe I'm a pansy too.

The extras are nice. Crowned barrel is nice. Don't care much for the sights. Don't care much for the cylinder release button. The 9# DA trigger is a bit much, and then they go to a 2# SA trigger which is a bit light. IMHO, at 21 ozs., too light for .357. I know what my SP101 feels like at 27 ozs. At almost $800, I would stay with Ruger or S&W myself. In one closeup pic I saw, the cylinder looks a bit cheap to me. Probably where they shaved some weight.

Me and my son rented an LCR 357 at a range. They were all the rage at that time. Had to buy range ammo of course but just standard old 357, nothing hot. I shot one cylinder and said enough of that. Couldn't hit well with it either. My son shot the box but both decided we didn't need one of those.

It looks nice to me, but I’ll let others beta test it before I consider one. I’m too enamored of my 3” SP101 in .327 to switch, anyway.

I have the LCR 9. It is definitely an acquired taste. I’ve shot +p once in it. In an adrenaline dump I most likely won’t notice the recoil.

I've owned a LCR in 357 since 2012. Just because it's chambered in 357 doesn't mean you must shoot 357 through it. I've fired standard 38 and 38 +p through it, and it's been fine. I like knowing that if I had no other choice, I have the option to shoot 357 through it. Better to have and not want than to want or need and not have.

As to the DB SDR, a 9-12lb DAO trigger is standard on just about all standard factory revolvers as well as DA/SA pistols like the Beretta 92, HK P30/USP, CZ 75 series and P07/P09, etc. I see the SA trigger as a target trigger, so it being lightweight is a plus. It's the perfect gun and size and weight to EDC 38 special +p in and occasionally shoot 357 if one so chooses. I will end up with one sooner or later.

It looks like a great option to me. Better and more refined than Taurus revolvers, cheaper than S&W J-frames, has real sights, and one more round than S&W J-frames, Ruger's LCRand SP101, and Tauruses 605.

Personally. I've handled and shot an LCR. I wouldn't trust shooting too many .357 loads through it.

Looks like my Kimber K6s except for the exposed hammer.

Those air weight 357 are said to be some of the worst recoiling guns you can shoot!
Never shot one myself, but do own a S&W 342 ti 38 that's painful to shoot at 11.2 oz with just 38 +P
Three times I tried to trade for a light weight 357.
And three times the LGS talked me out of it, saying I had the better gun already.

Much prefer an all steel snubbie for Magnums (S&W 640-1).
And even then, I really prefer medium velocity stuff (Remington Golden Saber / Winchester PDX1).

Rented a Smith and Wesson air weight 357 snubby. Chose to run full house 357 through it. Cylinder and a half wash all I could do. The next day was when the real body damage became apparent.

I'd rather have the Ultimate Carry J frame in 32.

That’s more than I was able to do.

The worst recoiling gun I ever had was the S&W 329PD.....BRUTAL!!!!!! I even had it Magnaported to tame recoil and it was still BRUTAL. The porting cured muzzle flip, but it then went straight back into your hand. It went down the road!
