Debating on whether or not to pick up a new P9-2 since they can be purchased for $350 now, or save for the new double stack X, which is what I really want. I sold my K9 a number of years ago and am currently without a 9mm so I would like to pick something up this year. I have a feeling if I get the P9 I will end up with the X9 anyway and have no use for the P. I wish the PM9 was $350. That would be mine today!
Or...buy a CM9 for $370?
The P9 is a much better deal for sure but looking for something sized like a P365.

You answered your own question.
Buy something you aren't really looking for and don't really want as much because you have have it right now or have the patience to wait to buy what you really want and are looking for.... You'll get short term instant gratification if you buy a P9-2, PM9, or CM9 now, but how will you feel if they release the X9 weeks or a month later? I would not put short term gratification over long-term happiness. YMMV

Yeah...I think you may be right there. Thank you for the advice.

Well, I ordered one anyway after giving it some thought. For less than $400 with tax and transfer. If I end up with both an X9 and the P9 in the future, so be it!
The P9 will make for an inexpensive carry / truck / backpack gun that also shoots nicely at the range. It can get used and abused and I won't care.

If you haven't had a chance to handle both, I think you made a wise decision. Probably a big difference in grip. Personally, I would have opted for an older production model. hopefully, you'll have it in your hands soon.................

Yes, should be in within a week I imagine.
Still happy as pink with the price! I was looking at cheaply made Ruger models for more $ than this.

Plus now I am back on Kahr Talk, after a long absence.
GAG has black CW9 models listed for only $245 which is an even better deal.

It’s a sickness I say, a sickness. Started with a CW9 then a K9 then a MK9 then a PM9 then I tossed in a CW45 that got traded for a P45 then a P9 and after a 5+ year search July this year a T9. E gads, a sickness. On the plus side they have all been from the used gun shelf’s. 7 Kahr’s, the PM9 has become my EDC during the summer.

That's awesome! I'm excited to be back driving a Kahr. I wonder how far through the lineup their new X platform will spread? I imagine they'll have a much different looking lineup in a few years but I hope they keep the classics around.

Never an issue for me. Buy both/all/many. More is better.

I did some drills and broke it in today. It sure is a great shooter.
I should have waited another week to buy as prices have now dropped to $320. Will they drop below $300?
Edit: They are $285 now!

I have two CM9's, have zero interest in the X9. No reason to dish out more money. The CM's are excellent and I prefer the single stack. The size and weight is perfect for what the gun is designed for. Easy to shoot, great Quality. I bought one new, one used. The Used shoots exactly the same as the new one. Totally reliable, totally trusted.

Good point about the CM series. They are great.
I really enjoy the P9 and am pleased with this firearm.
I'm thinking about a DeSantis Transit holster for the P9.

Just a FYI, the Kahr CT380 is $195 at lock and loaded.
