Very low key and under appreciated man. He did so many things. Singer, songwriter, actor. I'll miss him. Sunday Mornin' Coming Down

I didn't know he wrote so many of the songs that I have loved over the years but started to find out over the last 15-20 years. My wife never liked him for some reason I've never understood, even now. My favorite song he wrote is Sunday Morning Coming Down, hands down. All time great classic.

I did hear a few years ago that he was basically a vegetable for a number of years now, though. He sure enjoyed life, in his way, back in the sixties and the seventies. Can't say I blame him if I were in his shoes during that time. At least he lived a long and hopefully happy life. He will be missed by many, including myself.

Sunday morning coming down was a GREAT song, when sung by Ray Stevens, who I think first
released it* Johnny Cash just ruined it! And great songwriter that he was, I couldn't stand Kristoffersons
singing! Damn!

Sammi Smith made every Kristofferson song she sang a hit. Kris's singing made me feel better while trying to sing myself in my much younger years. I never liked listening to him but he was one heck of a writer/composer.

Another great one has crossed the river…..The sad thing is as these entertainers leave us there is such a huge void with no one to replace them, Country Music has left the building and the only movies Hollywood makes anymore are super hero crap that are mostly computer generated……Kris Kristofferson was a great song writer and a pretty decent actor…..I liked him as Billy the Kid in this one…….
