Penetrator load test in my DEagle 44

Just did a successful function test of a hard cast lead penetrator load in my DE44W (IWI). The load I function tested was from Steinel Ammo Co., their 255 gr. hard cast lead RNFP-GC listed at 1350fps from a 5" barrel. Even though its a non-jacketed boolit (usually a problem in the DE) this formulation is very hard indeed, and it feeds just like an FMJ. Fits nicely in the standard magazines. Haven't had enough time at the range yet to check velocity and accuracy, but I'll post that one of these days. Steinel's is a good outfit. I get all my 45/70 ammo from them. Good Starline brass and good-looking stuff. I like their trapdoor loads and the Goldilocks for my Henry.
