I plan on cleaning and lubing this pistol real good before I go to the range. It is a brand new PM9.

I have 200 rounds of target ammo to try:

1. Remington - 124 grain
2. Lawman - 124 grain
3. American Eagle - 124 grain
4. Blazer Brass - 115 grain

I also plan to fire off a box of 124 grain Gold Dot's to see if my PM9 likes them.

I wanted to know if I should stop and clean the gun say after 100 rounds and then continue or maybe do 100 rounds and then come back some other time. I just want to break in the gun like Kahr says to do; I am not trying to make it malfunction, even though, I believe it should fire whatever I feed it.

Just want people's thoughts.

Just go shoot it....however many rounds you wish for the session and then clean it again afterwards. Personally, since Kahrs ship wet and my LGS has a range, I first shoot them as is right out of the box when I pick them up.

One consideration.....if you mix that much different ammo during the 200 round or so break-in period and have any malfunction, you'll never know if it was the gun's ammo preference or the gun breaking in. At least save the Gold Dots or whatever you plan to carry in it for last.

Also, don't sweat that slide stop spring thingy. Almost impossible to screw up reassembly if you're the least bit competent at putting a round pin in a round hole.

I agree, just go shoot. I cleaned and did a light polish before shooting mine the 1st time. Put over 200 rounds through it the 1st time out with no problems. Knock on wood, my PM9 has been perfect!! :33:
