Finally bought the P380 to go with my PM9 and T9!

Ran it through the break-in this weekend. First - this is one damn fine shooter. Very accurate at the appropriate range. Points just like my other Kahr's.

Disassembled, cleaned, and a proper lube job using break free...
Ran 50 rounds of American Eagle FMJ with the bore only clean at 25 then 50 with a snake.
Ran 50 rounds of cheap aquila HP's. One nose dive at round #95.
Completely cleaned and a re-lube and back to it: Ran 100 rounds of American Eagle FMJ - perfect. Followed without cleaning 20 rounds of Federal Hydra Shok personal defense. Flawless.

Cleaned, lubed, and ready.
I like this little guy. Another great, reliable Kahr for my collection. This is going to make a great bicycle gun!

Sounds great. One nose dive during break in period ain't bad. I'd be curious to know if the Aquila would give you any further problems next time out. Have you already polished the feed ramp?

The feed ramp is already polished to a pretty high level by Kahr. Not sure I could improve it? I have purchased another box of 50 Aquila HPs and will run them through for a final test. Probably will do the test later today.

Lucky you. I wish my experience was the same....

That's probably because he wasn't hand racking his slide.

OK - finally ran another 50 Aquila HP's. The second full mag had 2 nose dives and a failure to eject out of the 50 rounds. Followed immediately by 25 rounds Golden Sabre HP, 20 rounds Federal Hydra Shok, and finally 20 rounds of Gold Dot HP without one issue.

Guess this gun doesn't care for Aquila. I'm really liking this gun. A great companion for my PM9!

OH

I load all my Kahr's for carry using the slide lock.

I don't think you're lubeing it enough. Try lubeing after single round fired.
