Ok, my cousin and I are self-proclaimed gun buffs. We got curious the other day and decided to see if I could put a 1911 clip in my PM45. Well it fits and locks in just fine. The only difference I can see is the feed lips are longer on the 1911. Has anyone ever tried experimenting with grinding down the lips or just using a 1911 clip as-is?
We didn't try firing it with the clip, scared of messing something up and hesitant about reliability. Although it would chamber the first round properly every time.
