I have about 800 rounds through the CW9 now and I've noticed that there is some slop between the frame and slide. Is this normal on this gun?

Yes. It should be fully seated and all of the parts have worn in together. It should run like a top with any ammo now.

I am having the same issue with my CW9. I can move my slide up and down to the point that the barrel actually moves too. I am sending an email to Kahr today and will let you know what I hear back.

closely and you will see that your barrel sits on the very bottom of the slide hole opening, It would be impossable to move that slide upward and not move the barrel either. That is the design of the gun and if you will look at all locked breech semi's the barrel rests on the bottom of the slide hole openining as when the slide retracts and the barrel cams downward it has to have the upward space to not bind uop the barrel and slide.

what you are seeng is perfectly normal. Kahr will tell you the same thing, but I guess if you hear it from them it will men more than I just telling you it is normal.

Thanks Jocko! No need to email Kahr now. I trust what you are saying and appreciate your knowledge and expertise.

Looking forward to taking the CW to the range today and getting some more practice so I am more comfortable while carrying it.

Thanks again.
