Since we just went through an attack here recently, and prior to that we had a similar attack at the "KTRange" site, it's getting ugly on the web. Last night I was parusing my normal list of firearms related sites and got slammed when I logged on to Defense Carry dot Com. I wasn't sure at the time that the problem originated at the DC site, but now think that's the case. Whenever I try to log on, ant the main page opens up, a video ad pushing some kind of Google sales garbage opens, then runs in a continuous loop. when I try to exit IE8 (which itself is crap, in my opinion), a bogus pop-up warning box displays with "options". If you try to "X" out of it, you can't. Each time you try to exit, it replacates itself until it ties up all your system resources (at least on my laptop). The only way I could get out was pull the power plug AND remove the laptop battery. After a re-start I checked out a couple of other sites, and even though it was running slower than dial-up, I was able to navigate. Tried DC dot Com again to see, and had same experience. After another re-start I ran Spybot and AVG and nothing showed up so I shut down for the night. Tried DC again this morning and same result as last night, only this time as soon as the bogus screen popped up I pulled the internet cable and was able to close out of the current page and close out of IE8, before the booger was able to start replicating itself.
Now, the question.... had anyone else experienced this logging on to DefenseCarry dot com, or know of any discussion on that site regarding any issues recently?

oh, just to add, no matter how attached we are to a "home site" related to firearms I think we should remember that most all firearms related sites do share a lot in common. These attacks seem to be carefully aimed at disrupting the firearms community as a whole, and we all may have to work together to warn each other of problems encountered on other sites.
