Shooting war erupts in quiet Washington State community

Six people – dressed in camouflage and carrying shotguns, handguns and knives...Inside the home, at least three men – also armed with guns – were ready for them.

On Friday, residents of the wooded Key Peninsula community said they were nervous. Some said they were taking the unprecedented step of locking their doors – fearful that some of the attackers might still be roaming the area.
“I’m surprised that something so violent could happen here,”
The gun battle started shortly before 8:30 p.m. Thursday and continued “into the road, into the driveway” and down the road, Troyer said. Neighbors called 911 to report hearing what sounded like machine gun fire.
