I wrote an ad and was about to post it on Craig's List selling some ammo and mags. I decided to read the prohibited list and found it includes ammo and magazines. I am greatly disappointed and tempted to run it anyway for a few days. What do you think?

I would go for it worst they can do is take it down. I have seen mags and ammo before locally.

I have done it, but beware the P.C. police. There are people who feel it is their job on CL to flag and turn in anyone "breaking" the rules. Be a little clever and spell things out rather than abbreviate. I have to do that locally or else my posts are flagged within 20-30 minutes.

If someone reports your post it will be taken down. However, you can advertise Hole Punches in the Sporting Goods section and tell anyone who cares to know that they punch a 9 mm hole, for instance. That'll probably keep your ad up longer and people who know what they're looking for will find you.

+1 I sold a Springfield XD that way 2 years ago. The ad was up maybe 20mins before I got the first call. He said "I'm calling about the uhmmm..... hole puncher"

Well, the ammo is gone, now it's just the mags. Anybody want a pair of McCormick 10-Round .45 Chip McCormick Power Plus Magazines, Stainless Steel with Base Pad that fits 1911 Government and Commander models. I'm asking $35.00 shipped.
I bought them from Midway for $57 on 8/3/2010 then shot them 2 times. They don't have front shrouds to prevent the follower from hitting the feed ramp. This is not an issue on 1911's except those with alloy frames and frame ramps.
