We all love our Kahrs, and by the sound of it, they get lots of exercise. Besides your Kahr, what gun do you shoot the most and why?

I shoot my 40 cal STI in USPSA matches. I love the very short trigger pull and the ability to shoot faster.

I, for one, a lousy shoot, never get serious into shooting or range time. I enjoy plinking with my rifle on pop cans, water jugs, and the damn steel bear 450 yd out.... I also have lots of fun in shooting traps with my 870 12ga. I think I have more fun in hitting pop cans and see them blow up ni the air than poking holes on paper. :D

I do shoot my handguns.. more of a necessity to cc and keeping my body and mind prepared and ready in case of dire situation.

Anyway, in sequence over the past 25 yrs (as you can see, not many handguns.. compare with most, if not all, of you):

Ruger SP101 snub nose (sold) : nice feel, but too much recoil to my like. Never enjoy shooting it. didn't enjoying carrying it, probably I used a cheap holster.. probably I just didn't like the gun.

HK USPc40 (sold): it shoots better than me, but HATED carrying it - heavy and bulky (to me). Not being carried = no use.

Bersa 380cc: I like this cheap gun, feels good in my hand, comfortable to carry, pleasant to shoot, very accurate.

Kahr PM9 (of course): only 180 rounds since new, so far I enjoy shooting it as much as the Bersa (the Pearce grip made a HUGE improvement), MUCH MORE comfortable (actually, is a joy) to carry.

I do a good bit of shotgunning.Skeet and sporting clays with either a Remington 1100 or a Browning Gold Hunter.I shoot my handguns more than anything else.I figure that there`s a much better chance that if I`m in a self defense situation I`ll have a pistol on me rather than a shotgun.Other than my Kahr I shoot my Glock 19,a Rossi .357 magnum snubnose and a S&W 642. They all carry and conceal well and I`m comfortable with them.

I carry a HK and have a small collection of them. These get most of my attention. For range time, these are some of the softest shooting pistols around. My P2000 has the most rounds, followed closely by the USP. For hoots and grins few guns can match the laser like accuracy of a P7... a very fun gun for about 8 mags worth. I'm a big HK fan.:D

I also have a passionate love affair going on with the Sig P230/232. I have a small collection of these too and they get a fair amount of range time. This gun just feels so good. :o

For .22 fun, I have several nice target guns, (Colt and Buckmark), that see a little use, but my eyes aren't what they used to be, so much of my .22lr time is occupied by a spectacular little pistol made by Daewoo, a DP52, which is a Walther PP clone. I've never seen a better made, more reliable and fun plinker... and I've tried them all I think.

My T9 gets the most Kahr milage.

Ok. If we're all in with all the things we love to shoot...My most favorite gun to shoot is the M4 in full auto with a full Beta mag on it. I'm not a big shotgun fan but I have taken my Saiga 12 gage over to the Hunter Clay Range to treat the guys to what a tactical shotgun can do. (Freaks me out to not be shooting into a berm!) And I think my newest most favorite gun will be my 9mm SBR that I just built. It's ALMOST concealable. :laser: Basicly I'm a major fan of the EBG(Evil Black Guns.) :D

Most of the time lately I have been shooting ARs. I picked up some lowers and have been assembling then for the past few months. I do shoot handguns quit a bit as well. Most often one of my 40's or 10's. 9mm has taken over my range trips lately due to the arrival of my new K9 and DSA TP9. I need to get dies for my 550 in 9mm so I can run that more. Hopefully .308 will drop again so I can shoot my FAL.

I fall in the same direction as (ripley16). A lot of HK pistols. P2000sk 9mm lem variant, HK P2000sk 9mm decocker variant, HK P2000sk 357 sig lem variant, HK USP compact 9mm safety/decocker variant. Sig P232 w/crimson trace laser and I love my small J frame 38 specials and the new Ruger LCR 38 special. Enough handguns to get me as busy shooting as I want too.

Besides my MP9, the guns of mine that I enjoy the most are a S-A 1911, and a super accurate Sako Model 75 .270 Win. Rifle. It's my western hunting rifle, and when I do my job, is capable of <1" groups at 200 yds.

Last winter I had the opportunity to spend about 3 weeks on a firing range for my part-time job (Army Reserves) I had the pleasure of shooting the MK-19 (think of a 40mm full auto grenade launcher) an M-2 .50 Cal machine gun, an M-240 Bravo .30 machine gun, a M-249 SAW 5.56mm machine gun, and of course an M-4 carbine and M-9 Beretta 9mm. It was three weeks of fun. The best part was the free ammo. lol My favorite? The Ma Deuce .50 cal. John Moses Browning was a smart, smart man. :D

I don't have that many to choose from. I have a Ruger single six that is a tac driver. I'm just not a big fan of SA wheel guns but it was my first handgun and I'll never sell it. I've sold off a few others when I got tired of them. I had a SW 686 4", I mostly shot 38 special with it. Then I traded that for a Taurus PT99-afd which I still have. It's accurate, dead reliable but too big/heavy to carry. I still put some rounds though it once and a while. I've had a couple other .22 plinkers. I get tired of them and sell them for something else. I've sold a Phoenix HP-22 and just sold a Walther P22. I'm really thinking a 22 compact DA wheelgun for the next plinker, that way I can use up a bunch of cheap bulk ammo that won't rack the slide in a semi. Of course the PM9 is the newest and see's the most range time lately :D

My stainless Springer GI .45, a Ruger SR9, and Ruger LCP.....whenever I get to the range, which is not very often.

Am still lookin' for a CW45 locally.

Zena,

I still grin when I think about those few weeks. For years I was an aerial gunnery instructor using M-60's on Hueys. That was a blast too. If I had to pay for all the ammo I've used over the years, I'd have to win the lottery. Do you ever have an opportunity to shoot full auto?

Why no HK's in Massachusetts?

Only a few HKs are allowed, among them The USP, P2000 and P2000sk but in certain calibers only. Massachusetts has some very strange gun laws.

One of many reasons I imigrated from the People's Democratic Republic of Maryland to the free state of Virginia, were the totalitarian gun laws.

Yup. My fave is the M4. First time out with it I had a full beta mag---didn't stay full for long. I also shoot an AK 47 full auto. Occasionally an MP5. The hardest for me to master was the Glock 18. Cyclic rate is so high I would get jams. Once I figured how to get my whole body behind it---sweet! I would so LOVE to shoot from a helicopter. That has got to be awesome.

They aren't on the "approved" list. Too dangerous!

even though I have various hand held devices to launch projectiles in the .32acp, 9mm, .40 s&w, .38 cal and .45 acp (recently rid myself of the need for .25 acp and .380 acp), I have found myself shooting a whole lot more .22 cal, both rifles and pistols, in the last year..... a LOT more!

Dang, I miss the "good old days" of 3 dollar a box 9mm and 8 dollar a box 30-30...what's it been now....3 whole years:ohmy:

Rimfires are a lot of fun. Ammo is cheap and available. Besides .22 lr I like the .17 hmr caliber. Basically a necked down .22 mag. It's an inheritingly accurate round. I put a Lilja target barrel in .17 hmr on an older Ruger action and can drive tacks with it now. You don't have to spend a lot of money, or make a lot of noise to have fun. ;) I have a S&W K-22 Masterpiece that's really accurate too. Great for when you want to use a pistol for bunnies and squirrels. Rimfires have a place in shooting, and always will. Not just for kids :4:

My FNP-9 is my primary shooter because I do well with it and 9mm is less expensive than .357 or .380 (or .45) to shoot. I've been itching to take my shotty out soon though. Hopefully it will happen this week. I put the most rounds through the S&W 22a because .22lr cost but take the 9mm out most often. :4:

Besides my CW9, I have two other favorite guns. A CZ 527 carbine in .223 and a Henry H001M .22 Magnum. They all get lots of use and all shoot great.

Just laid in one of these:

http://www.msarinc.com/images/stge4%207.62x39.jpg

Mine is green with the top rail instead of the 1.5x optic. I am amazed at the quality. The fit and finish are superb. Microtech included 5 of their AUG style 30 round AR mags, all the mounting rails needed, a couple tools, and a really well written manual. I have not handled an AUG since the 1980s and had forgotten how comfortable they are. Since I shoot long guns left handed, Dave at MSAR made sure to set it up for that. It is pretty ambi friendly really save for the ejection. The trigger pull is quite good. It has the longer pull that many bullpup rifles have, but breaks cleanly and fairly light. I hate to say this but my Sig-556 may be in danger of being sold. Now to get some range time.....

One of the perks of living where I do. We can CCW and own anything we want. A C&R is required for NFA items but beyond that no special paperwork.

This MSAR is making me wonder if my SBR paperwork/taxes have been worth it. The E4 is shorter than my SBR AK and AR!
