Seriously considering installing the fiber optic front sight available for the CW9. Eyes aren't what they used to be. I made up a front sight using one of the shot gun fiber optic screw in type for my Walther P22 and it works great. Not real good for precsion bullseye but great for getting small groups.
So if you've done this mod, how easy was it and how is it working out?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

I got a set of fiber front and plain black rear sight for my CW9 and never been sorry I did it. The whole operation, done very slowly and carefully, took about 15 minutes. My sights came from Dawson Precision and are quality metal sights. The only thing you need, not included in the package, is a small gunsmithing hammer and some red loctite. The front breaks off very easily, you clean out the holes and stake the new one in place with the tool supplied. It ain't rocket science. Jocko has always praised the Dawson sights for their quality and I concurr. The front sights come in 2 widths, .105 and .120. I chose and prefer the latter.
PM me if you have any further questions.

jfrey - Thanks for the input. I'll have to look at the set from Dawson Precision. So not that hard to do. That's good. BTW - sometimes bigger is better in a front sight! I know when I put the "shot gun" sight on my P22, my groups really improved as there was less space around the front sight when looking through the rear sight. Much easier to center the front sight.

That is exactly the reason I went with the bigger sight. Too much room around the smaller sight. I actually tried both of them and went with the bigger one.
