:yo: Hello!

I'm a long time gun owner in Ohio but I recently picked up my first Kahr in the form of a PM9. I own a few handguns in calibers .380, 9mm, .40 and .45 acp. Not to mention my AR, AK and shotty.

I like the fit and finish of this little gun and it may be taking the place of my LCP for pocket duty if the deal for the LCP goes through on a trade for a R.I. .45 Compact.

I took out the PM9 and ran the 200 rds. through recomended by Kahr in the owners manual. I used 100 rds. of Wolfe and 100 rds. of WWB and I only had one fail to feed and that was on the Wolfe brand.

I'm looking forward to conversing with some of you guys (and gals) on this fine handgun as well as other topics.

:)

Welcome aboard Just One Shot!
What's your locale in Ohio? I was born and raised in the Columbus area; still have folks back that way.
Regards,
Greg

I'm in a small city named Lima. It's almost smack dab in the middle of Toledo and Dayton on I-75.

I should've known it wasn't Thunder Road from the hat. It's been awhile since I've seen either of those movies. Both are classics, not like some of the crap they are producing today!

Thanks all for the friendly welcome! I hope I don't step on too many toes while I'm here, I can be pretty strong headed on some topics.

Not to worry pal, you'll fit in just perfect. We all wear steal toed shoes, or in some cases can't feel our feet. We also can always use another movie critic and most agree there's alot of unsatisfactory stuff to watch out there now days.
Strong headed? We got a couple of them too.
We could stand a little excitement around here of late, go ahead and lay a strong headed opinion on us.

Ok, you asked for it.
:D

1. Accuracy is more important than caliber.

2. A Glock is not the all in all of handgun designs.

3. There is no such thing as one perfect handgun for all CC situations.

4. A long gun is better than a handgun if you know you are going to have trouble.

5. An AR is more accurate than an AK at longer distances but an AK is more devastating at the closer distances.

There's 5 off the top of my head that are known to create discussion on other forums.

That the best ya got? Didn't even raise my breathing rate. I agree with all those. Well only 95% on line one there, I'll take a misplaced 45 over a well place 32 but hardly worth mentioning.
I told ya you was gonna fit in. Not many here with only 1 handgun and those that do are looking for the next one.
You just sound normal to me. But keep trying.

I'd say so. Maybe try politics. That usually never fails to tick somebody off. Tell us you voted for the Muslim Monkey. Now that would do it. I can't imagine it even based on so few post.

How bout you think Nancy Pelosi is smoking hot. Dang I just threw up on my keyboard even thinking that.

Aww forget it, consider yourself home and call it a day.

I've been up that way, my step dad's family is from Wapakoneta.
In 1971, my cousin and I traveled to MCRD Parris Island with a group of guys from Ohio. There was gent from Lima in that group. He (name was Perkins), my cousin, and I became Marines in the same platoon. I hadn't thought about him in years, thanks for jogging the memory.

Greg

Welcome to the asylum, I see you've met some of the inmates. No worries though, we usually play pretty nice, just jump in and have a good time. Like Jocko said, use the proper prep and lube chart stickies and that little guy should serve you quite well for a long time.

Funny thing about those stickys are, they outline my procedures almost to the letter on lube and preperation before shooting. That is all except hand racking the slide 500 times. I prefer to shoot it to break it in, it's much more fun that way.
