Mags "slightly" Magnetic?

When taking my mags apart (P380) I noticed the upper portions of the mags are very slightly magnetic. The springs when held from the end kind of stick just a little when you get closer to the feed lips, but no magnetic effect at all near the bottom. Both mags are like this. Is this normal, intended, or just freaky?

Slightly? Mine would pick up the spring, the metal base plate, and I floated one for grins and it oriented to magnetic north.
I used a video tape degausser (Radio Shack) to demagnetize most of them, but I noticed I need to do a few more.
