View Full Version : Wanenmacher's Gun Show, Tulsa, OK
November 13th & 14th. I'm excited!!!
TULSA ARMS SHOW! (http://www.tulsaarmsshow.com/frames.html)
We went in April and it was SO overwhelming. Supposedly the fall show is a bit smaller. Still over 4,000 tables though. WHEW!

Anyone else ever been or planning to go???
I'm hoping we can pick up a few more parts for my AR project.

Wow, looks like a couple of cattle auctions I've been to. Looks like a good show to go to, lots and lots of stuff.
I'm probably not gonna make this one, the 30 hour drive just ruins it for me, but maybe next one.
Have fun, hope you find everything your looking for.

Holy Cow!! I've been to one gun show in my life and it might have had a couple hundred tables. I can't imagine 4,000. I hope they are grouped by subject because at mine you'd see everything 3 or 4 times in a row. No way could you go through all that in 2 days.

Wow, if I was looking for something specific, I would have a clue where to start. I'm used to the 200-300 table shows.

Ditto! Dang, I'd like to go to something like that. We have our best one this weekend and I can walk through once in less than an hour and then another quicker pass, especially if I'm looking for something.
I could probably spend all day in the Tulsa one... good exercise... especially on the second pass.:D
I hope they have signs (and maps) so you can get back to any deal you found, though "he who hesitates, loses..." the deal.

I live about 90 miles down the turnpike from Tulsa and have been to many of the shows. It is really a happening. This year family commitments took up the show weekend for me.
It really needs to be experienced at least once in a lifetime. If you find a price you are willing to pay, better buy it then because if you can find that table again hours later what you wanted will be gone. Know your limits and do your research before you go as you can easily overpay if you do not have an idea of what the items are available for outside the show.
The internet has really made the borderline sellers more honest and helped to hold down prices as buyers are more well informed.
unfortunately, they aren't grouped together by any sort of subject. And as Zero said, you better buy it when you find it, or take down really good directions if you ever want to see that table again.
It's really something. They have everything imaginable old and new. We didn't spend but a few seconds at most tables, walked the show for about 6 hours, and didn't even make it to the lower level (my feet felt like a fat woman had been walkin on em!).
Hubby sold one of his glocks and bought a few AR parts, a scope for the .22 he built, and a backpack to carry his purchases in (live and learn!). I got an IWB holster for my P380. I didn't see any screaming good deals, but it sure is fun to go window shopping.
From their website:
Something to think about: If all our tables (2800 8ft. and 1200 6ft.) were placed end to end they would stretch 5.7 miles!
If you spend the whole 18 hours we are open to the public and divide that by 4,100 tables, You will have 15.8 seconds to look at each table.

I need to get to that one of these days. I have some friends that used to car pool down, get hotel rooms nearby, and make a mini-vacation of it. They said the show is absolutely amazing. One of these days I will find the time.

Dang! You spent six hours and didn't see all of it! I'd love to see something like that. I'll make one pass in less than an hour this weekend at our best show. That's pretty disappointing, but I went to a small one south of Jacksonville a few months ago, and I was almost through when I looked from one side to the other while standing just inside the entrance. I think I've had almost as much stuff at one of our garage sales.:D

Wow, this really snuck up on me. I was gonna send ya down a camoflaged handbag full of cash but I'm not sure theres time.
I do know there is a lack of cash both for the handbag and the filler but there's always a way around that. Perhaps an obummer stimulus grant.??
DANG! That wouldda been great
saw this gem at the last show. the "Ghetto Blaster". Definitely worth a laugh.

Holy smokes! I thought the Dallas gun show was big (2,500 tables) but Tulsa is huge. I went to the Lewisville, Texas, gun show last week and talked to several vendors who were planning to attend the Tulsa show. Have fun. Should take an entire day to get thru all those tables.
