When I was young (theres one for the history books) living in Missouri our driveway was 3 miles long. It run between the fields so it was a mile, then a turn and another mile and another turn and 1 last mile. Far piece to the mailbox, well worth saddling the mule, when I could catch it that is.
I'm ready to go back, I really am.

What I do is hit reply, then you can scroll down below where you normally write and theres a box that says manage attachments. Click on that and another box opens. On the top area you hit browse. This lets you look thru you computer to find a picture you want to post. Click the picture a couple times and then click upload.
If the pictures too big it won't accept it and tell ya so and in that case I'm screwed cause I don't know how to fix it but usually mine fit most of the time.
Others use photobucket which I know nothing about but I think they can link to it then and post a bigger maybe better picture.
I think Wynn's pretty up on this stuff, and a few others. I just know enough to be a little scarey and not much more on these computer deals.

thank you. I also don't know how to fix that. I have this really cool kahr art photo I made i've been dying to post but it's big and I'm stupid and can't shrink it down, nor did I want to make a new thread when i don't know how to put photo in anyway.

Create a free account at photobucket. Upload your photos and copy the IMG (image) link given under the photo. Paste it right here in your post. It will look like a web link (because it is) until you actually post. Then it will appear as the actual photo. Like this...

Guys. A little help here PLEASE.........................I don't know what a URL is either now that I ponder it.

A URL (universal resource locator) is just an internet link that "locates" what you want and takes you there. Like "kahrtalk.com". Only, a photobucket one would look like this...

http: (extra BS added) //i18.photobucket.com/albums/b103/AlbertD/DSC00125.jpg

The (extra BS added) is just junk so it wouldn't post as a picture again. This is the direct link to my Glock-in-holster photo in my photobucket account. DSC00125.jpg is the actual picture part of the link. The rest is just "getting there".

The IMG is for "image" and what actually turns it into a picture when you post. "photobucket link goes here" goes around either side of the URL, aka internet link. Like how we use the "quote feature" for quoting other posters. If you didn't use [IMG], it would just post as a link which would take you to the picture when clicked instead of actually inserting the picture here, which I prefer. Hope this helps. :yo:

I like the way your pictures show up here better than the little ones the way I do it.

Wow, Mr. B, your town sure is green! Since I live in a desert it's hard to imagine not wanting to live there.

I live a couple miles North of Fresno CA. Fresno is not as bad as Leno and all make it out to be. For some odd reason (the water?), every time things are going pretty good, some idiot goes off the reservation and really does something stupid.

You know like 7 LEOs shooting at a drunk man standing a few yards away in his own doorway 65 times hitting cars in the street, the house next door, all over the front of this man's house. If he had just stood still they probably would have missed him entirely, but he jumped in front of one to make them feel better. Then of course it's.... "Did you hear what went on in Fresno yesterday?" on Leno.

Oh well, I came from a place that runs a close second to Fresno on Leno, Bakersfield CA. As they say Bakersfield is a good place to be FROM - as in far away from.

So if I do this photobucket thing can anybody go and look at my pictures? Once I put pictures in there do they stay for posterity until I ask to remove so I could go back and post again or is a one time deal.

Just make sure to set your album to "private" in your account options/settings. The only pictures people can see are the ones you physically link. If you don't set to "private", then people (if they know what they're doing) can see other pictures from any link you provide. It acts as a "gateway" into your album.

The pictures will stay there until you decide to delete them. Some people have said that photobucket deleted their gun related pictures, but I've NEVER had a problem with any picture just up and gone "missing".

Lots of guys apparently use it so it must not be full of spys and viruss and malware junk that I dont even know about.I've used photobucket years and never had any problem. Just be aware that if you decide to do some "house cleaning" and delete old photos, the links you posted on forums will give an error and no longer work. I'm sure we've all seen the "photo no longer hosted" type error boxes on forums where there should have been pictures. Either the person deleted the photos or the entire account got closed for some reason.

Yes, the pics stay there until such time you want to delete them. Not to worry about vireses, worms, spys and such you don't know about. I've had issues with photobucket and those things.

Where do I call home? Well, I work in Houston but spend most of my weekends in the Texas Hill Country. I feel best in the hills and hope to one day soon make that my everyday home.

I was born and raised in south Alabama, about 50 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. I've been in Texas off and on for the last quarter century; first came here as a brand new Army lieutenant.

The Cross Timbers region of Texas (west of Fort Worth, east of Abilene) is home now.

Low population, low crime, low taxes, warm weather, limited government, friendly people, wide open spaces. It's great.

I probably need one myself but don't put no faith in shrinks. Your half way correct in that I thought maybe you spent alot of time with the serious get off topic and I'll kill ya folks over on Glocktalk.
If you like yourself that's all that matters and I'll leave well enough alone but I'm having to double up on careless and carefree to off set your negativity.

"Totally negative"? OK, let's see... Kahr sends me the wrong spring twice because they couldn't read that I had an "old" PM9 which I referenced in every email I sent. And, come to find out, also a guide rod that's too long. Most people wouldn't exactly be happy about that.

So, Kahr got it wrong, more than once, but I guess I should have just installed those incorrect parts instead, done the happy dance and wished for rainbow fartin', gumdrop eatin' unicorns jumping over cotton candy clouds...or something... :D

Perhaps come spring when the roads are good again I'll road trip to the far coast and sit down with a capacino with you, a little peppermint schnapps helps get them sissy coffee drinks down.

Awwww!!!!!!

Uncle, Uncle, you win, I can't take it anymore. No will power, no rehab available. 1 lousey day and I jump off the wagon on my head. I'm such a loser. I hate myself!!!!!!

I was reading from the good book (the Bible, not the Blue Book of Gun Values, it is Sunday!) and the message I received was that it is my place to be picked on, always take last place, and be the scapegoat for all things bad. By doing this no one else has to feel bad, or be abused. There was a bright light and it seemed so real. Turns out it was a cop flashlight and I was drunk under a picnic table in a city park, glad it was one of my guys. His first comment was whatever your on, get back on it, your headed down the wrong path.
So I guess this pathetic loser with no will power is back. I'm already feeling closer to my normal self which of course is in no way related to normal in the overall scheme of things but its a good sign none the less.
I'm headed to our local gunshow to take in the beauty of the lords natural creations, namely GUNS, BULLETS, and STUFF.
Suppose to link up with Spider Tattoo, hoping he don't want to do one of them body cavity searchs on me, could get ugly. I'm also gonna bring my big felt marker so I can draw a line on his bald head and make it look like a butt.
I read all the rules of Kahrtalk and I think Mr. Jocko was smoking me a little bit with this 6 month hiatus stuff anyhow. I'll try to be good.
I feel like I've been dunked in the river and brought back, I think I'm healed!!!

I guess I might as well jump into this thread. I was born in Knoxville. I lived there until I was 16 and went to Maryland for college. I spent the next 8 years in the Navy in Europe and Asia, and then settled in Louisville, my wife's hometown. I was there for two years, but with the divorce, I ask my current employer to get me the heck out of town. They transferred me to the Atlanta area, and I've been here ever since. I know there are better climates in the US [San Diego comes to mind], but the C of L and politics turn me off.
