I am hoping someone out there has some experience with the 140gr Corbon DPX, self defense, 140 gr solid copper hollow point (thunder ranch) ammo. It is a little expensive, but I would like some input before I give it a try. They tell me recoil is low, it was designed for the PM40, has impressive expansion and penetration. 1200FPS / 448ftlbs (from 4" barrel).
My specific question relates to how it cycles through the PM40...any problems?
Thoughts on recoil?
Any input?
Thank you

Really the PM40 has a 2" barrel if you measure from the end of the chamber to the end of the barrel. Thats being said, i use speer short barrel .40 designed for use in 2" barrells. It uses a longer/heavier round and less powder which makes sense, has about the same kick as the wwb practice stuff I use and leaves nice exits from pumpkins. I would like to try this corbon dpx stuff you mention though and do a little comparo. Hornady has me sold on the new tap ammo for longer barrels.

I use Mag-Tech's solid copper hollow point in 185 gr+P in my P45. I like it a bunch, shoots to POA, and is hardly noticeable to my hand. Barnes X bullet is a Barnes X bullet right? I like the down range results as well, but melons don't tell me the whole tale, as I can't recover the round after a hit on a water melon. It's fun to see though.
